Hi All,

I would be grateful for some insights as to why so many favour BDA drivers over conventional TV drivers. What are the advantages? At the moment I have a FREECOM DVB-T USB stick, that does not have BDA drivers but I still manage to get good picture/sound. One thing I would like to know is - Do BDA drivers make more use of video acceleration that can smooth out the TV picture as that is one problem that I have with my TV card.

Any info appreciated.

Regards,
Rich

This is not a development question. So in future kindly don't post such questions here. Pick a more appropriate forum.

No BDA drivers don't magically fix reception or decoding issues. What they do is provide a standardised interface that all hardware and applications software can adhere to. Allowing you to use a range of software with a range of hardware rather than it all being proprietry like the device you have.

They would for example allow you to try different software, different video decoders etc to try and resolve the problems you are having with your device sleep.gif
