Hi,

I am trying to install the BDA drivers with a VisionPlus ( mini-ter PCI ), and I'm having no luck at all. I tried the latest versions ( 1.6.0 ) on my windows XP SP2 box.

First I tried Web scheduler and it could not find any channels. Next I followed the instructions on Spectrum's page about setting up Graphedit. ( I have to admit I have no idea what I'm doing at this point, but went ahead anyway. ) . I tried to display the channel frequency for Sky Sports ( UK ) which is 658000Khz. No AV in the movie window.

The graph shows all the modules connected, but I'm not sure which one should be there ( there are 2 cyberlink ones along which the generic stuff ) .

( I did try out the card with the bundled software on an old ME machine, and the card works fine, so I think I can discount that. )

The machine has prevoiusly had a Nebula Card installed - does this matter ?

Can anyone help ?

Is this a FTA ie unencrypted channel ???

Post a captured image of the graph

Yes this is an FTA (I meant to say Sky Sports News). I pulled the VP card to put it back in the ME machine, just to check there wasn't a HW problem ( paranoid ? ). I'll put in back into the XP box and post a graph.

And thanks !

Null pointer kindly supplied the answer.
You need to edit the inf file for the tuning driver
I've now got Webscheduler up and running (need to do some more work on grabbing the xmltv EPG) and also scanchannelsbda working.
Still struggling with DW, though - get message "Addfilterbyname: Failed to find matching filter" Then "cannot load tuner device"
Still scratching the head on this one"!

Thanks a million - it works ! I was going to back to the graph ( Thanks JoeyBloggs for the offer to help here ) , but I thought I would just give the editing the inf file a go first ( I set to 8 ), and I'm now scanning channels and recording. I tried a few formats , and quality looks spot on ( much better than the bundled software ).

I guess my next job is the EPG also ....

Cheers, Vit
