Hello everybody:

I have followed your post and using the Twinhan DTV Sat-Ci, the 1.2.3.8 driver and the DVB-T emulator I was able to make MCE2005 see my DVB-S card as a DVB-T card.
I search for channels in Astra satellite ( I'm from Spain ) and I detect all the FTA and all the PPV channels. I can see and record prefectly through MCE all the FTA channels but when I try to see the PPV channels with my Nagra Gemplus pcmcia and my oficial suscription card from Digital + I can see nothing.
Anyone can help me?

Thanh you and regards,

Once you have the channels scanned in MCE, in order to decrypt them you must run the MCE_CI Console tool, select the relevant channel and clcik on descramble program, wait a few seconds an then you will see the output in Media Center smile.gif

Hello everybody and thanks for your fast answer RENURA.

I have read your answer but what is the MCE_console Ci Tool and where can I find it?

I found the channels on MCE/settings/TV/guide and there I activate them. The other MCE tool is the Twinhan DVB-T emulator where I select the satellite and the driver.

Is there any other tool that I need?

It is part of the drivers package.

Hello everybody:

At last I got my Twinhan card working with my pcmcia ( I must change the first, because it wasn't the one that I need ) and my oficial ppv card.

But the thing doesn't go well and I need some advice.

1.- It's very unstable. I'm watching one channel and suddenly appears the blue screen from MCE "No TV Signal".Then I don't know what to do because sometimes the image returns and sometimes do not return.

2.- Is there anyway to make that all channels can be decrypted at a time, and not being decrypted one by one or the group that appears in the CI Console when refreshing? And this doesn't always works.

3.- Sometimes it seems that my pc goes very slow. Too much slow for an AMD 4200+ and 1Gb ram. Changing the channel may took from one second (FTA channels and some yet decrypted channel) to never (the pc seems to collapse). Other times the change is between 5 and 10 seconds (slow but acceptable if the image were stable after that).

Can anyone help me if I'm doing something wrong or even if I'm not doing something? It's really frustrating being not able to get this working well and not knowing what else to do.

Regards,

PS: BTW when the thing goes right the picture quality is very very good and the sound not bad at all.

The best thing for you to do is to write to Microsoft and tell them about your issue. It has nothing to do with the cards or TwinHan.

It is entirely a Microsoft's issue, so ask them to fix it. smile.gif

Thank you very much RENURA. I will tell MS about this problem with MCE but I have no hope to recieve an answer.

Sure I can do it for you, give me the details and I will convert them
Need frequency, Symbol Rate and polarity

Hi Renura,

I gather you have some software for editing the Twinhan satellites.dll file? In New Zealand our free television is broadcast from the Optus D1 satellite and this is not listed in the latest Twinhan satellites.dll file. I have contacted Twinhan but not had a response as yet. Can you add this satellite and email me the file by any chance?

Many thanks,

Not sure if someone has been able to help you, but all you have to do is change the attributes of the satellite.dll and remove the tick in the "read only" box. Locate the dll, rightmous click and bring up the properties. Untick the "readonly" and you're fine after that. Hope this helps
