I've just installed the BDA drivers version DriverVer=07/21/2004, 1.5.3.
and gone thru the instructions from Spectrum to build the graph etc.

All fine.

But when I run DigitalWatch (BDA version) it fails with AddFilterByName and cannot find tuning space etc.

Help please....

what drivers were you using before?
carlh
I was using the Twinhan drivers version:
2.4.1.0 dated the 26/2/04

I followed the instructions from spectrum and had no problem showing video with audio using graphedit, but I was unsure of what to do next.

Is it sufficent to build the graph or do you need to save it or register it in some way?

I have reverted to the Twinhan drivers and am back using DW again, but with the video stuttering issue.

Thanks.

Make sure your using this version of DW: http://home.bigblue.net.au/mulin77/DigitalWatchBDA0722.zip and you'll want to upgrade the longhorn mpg2splt.ax which can be found here: http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?show...t=0&#entry11452.
To install it you need extract it and register it. (e.g. regsvr32 <path>mpg2splt.ax)

Well that helped. Now I can use DW again.

I notice that the stutter problem is better, but still occuring.
The usual thing happens - the audio continues and the video
goes into slideshow mode. Pressing 'P' twice fixes the problem
until it reoccurs in 10 minutes time.

Bummer.

Oh and WebScheduler (BDA) doesn't seem to be able to record
anymore.

You might need to reselect the card your using in the webscheduler setup

The only solution i've found for this so far is to use a different combination of video and audio decoders. It seems the cyberlink video decoder is worst at causing the problem, but it's not it's fault entirly because i've also had it happen with the intervideo decoder.
I more or less exclusivly was SD and use the GPL MPEG-1/2 decoder and have never had the pausing problem using this filter.

Hmmm, I have this in my DW videosettings.ini but when I make it the default it complains that GPL MPEG-1/2 decoder is not registered.

Any ideas ?

I use to get the slideshow issue on SBS all the time using the Cyberlink decoder. You could see that there was error in the stream and it would start stuttering.

I have switched over to the intervideo, I still get a pause for half a second when the error in the stream occurs, but it does not go into slideshow mode any more.

Cheers

You need to download it from
