Hi all,

I'm gonna spend some time tonight fiddling to install the BDA drivers.

What version should I install to avoid those restarts/freezings that have been happening to people in comments above.

Is version 1.5.3.3 good to use?

Try it, reboot after upgrading the drivers, if you have problems try 1.5.3.1

Spectrum,

I may have come across a problem with the 1.5.3.3 drivers, I cannot restart graphedit after pausing. It runs for half a second then stalls. My other BDA sample program suffers the same fate as it also pauses & starts the graph.

I rolled back to the 1.5.3.2 drivers and starting after pause seems fine, but when updating to 1.5.3.3 again, graphedit Pause/start stalls again. sad.gif

WS & DW seem not to be affected.

Dan.

I need some help installing the BDA drivers...

I go into hardware management area.
Right click DTV Video Driver and go uninstall
I do the same with DTV Audio Driver.

I then tried right clicking the .info files with Spectrums drivers and going install.
Nothing happens..

How am i meant to install them?

If i do a scan for hardware it just finds on TwinHan drivers and puts them back.
Should i just go to DTV Video/Audio and go "Update driver" and then select new files?

The BDA drivers are not ms signed so windows "hardware update" will always choose the Twinhan drivers.

Just right click on the DTV Drivers in device manager and "update driver", use the "install from specific location" then "Don't search choose specific location" then "have disk" and browse to the THBDA inf files, do the capture driver first then the tuner. These drivers are not ms signed so just continue.

I find it easier to just stop the existing drivers (THDTV DVB-t Capture Device and Tuner Device) in 'Devices' in the control panel (Device Manager in 'System Properties'), update the drivers (thbdacap.sys and thbdatun.sys) in windows\system32\drivers and then restart them in 'Devices'. I'm on Win2k though.
