QUOTE (digitalise @ Sep 1 2004, 08:12 AM) I have acquired a Full version FusionHDTV from Digital Now for $229, delivered to my door in less than 24 hours. I noticed you're new to the Forum - welcome aboard! You sure about Digitalnow? They quote $249 on the front page of their website. What do we need to do to screw the extra $20 out of them? |

QUOTE You sure about Digitalnow? They quote $249 on the front page of their website. I asked for a price match, they have Price Matching. So it does not matter what the listed price is, if you can find a better price, they will match it. |

I have just noticed that the price at Digital Now is $229 anyway, including delivery.
On speaking to a sales person, they also told me that they will be releasing new software to their customers soon. Can get the same price as the lowest + special software, how can you beat that? |

Gee they changed their website pronto. I guess they must be watching ... eehaa the Forum works! Hmmm now I guess that makes the next question tricky.
Where do you (did you) get such a low quote from - so that they'd match it and what credit cards do they take? I can't find any reference to any except where they talk about how much the surcharge is.... something about US dollars and Paypal? Never mind , come to think of it, if you can get such a low quote from a regular store with credit card that would be cheaper So far it sounds like City Software is the best buy except that they charge a "tenner" for normal postage if you buy on-line and with a 2-9 day postal delay. Anyone know how much they charge for overnight courier? Express Post don;t go overnight to the burbs Oh and if you need the latest software update with new BDA drivers you can get them stright from DVICO |

Wow$199 thats cheap, I wonder if that includes Canberra Office works.
When I purchased my VisionPlus from DigitalNow in Feburary, they price matched $165 and they still do. The DVICO seems the way to go, now with BDA drivers I can use it with WebScheduler. I e-mail Renura about the Office works price and he said he could match that, and he said that in a few weeks all DigitalNow customers would be getting ' world class software' , not available anywhere else! Wonder what it is? I still receive excellent support from Digital Now, even though I only purchased a cheapo VisionPlus that they dont even sell anymore! Best price, best service and great product, seems the way to go! Jeremy |

I just bought the ultraview HDTV DVB-t card today from a computer fair, only $165 include the remote. Ultraview is a cheaper OEM version of fusion, isn't it? I'm confused.

If the Ultraview DVB-t uses the DVICO software it must be the same.
I guess at $165 it's the lite version with no analogue inputs? |

No, the lite version was only $135. Since i went there without any knowledge about tv tuner cards at all, and there were just too many different brands, i had to pick the most expensive one...
And now with 30bucks extra, i have some functions which i'd never gonna use... |

$135 is the wholesale price less GST for the Ultraview DVB lite
so I wonder if it's legal. Probably blackmarket sales at the swapmeets bypassing the tax man. |

I purchased a card aboout 1 month ago online from a reputable company (wish I had found this forum a little bit earlier and Renura's site to take advantage of his soon to be released software!). It was advertised at the time as a DVicO Fusion card with the AV inputs and was keenly priced at the time at $199, just before the prices began to drop.
Having done a little bit of research before I was a bit annoyed when the Ultraview card arrived. I knew enough to know it was the same card but generic branding, but I had bought and paid for the DVico product and felt this cheaper product had been sent in its place to maximise profit. I also believe I had seen the Ultraview card on the companys website earlier at a cheaper price, but only available as a purchase with a pc. I sent some emails to the company and we agreed in the end to disagree. I felt they were misrepresenting themselves and told them so. I do now note they have started to sell the card as a "Dvico Fusion card by Ultraview". At the end of the day I guess it continues to be, buyer beware!! |
