Would it help if I changed the date from 2007-11-07 to 2007/11/07 or something similar?

Thanks to two fellow forum members donating webspace, I have been able to start producing xmltv guides for all regions based on the Oztivo tv guide.

They are available at
http://xmltv.locost7.info/
and
http://guides.byremote.com.au/

The aim of these guides is to ensure there continues to be a free, easy to use xmltv guide solution for Australia. It is NOT to provide the highest quality guides - if you want that then you should have a look at IceTV.

The guides rely on the data provided by Oztivo . There will be a variable number of days available, usually from 3-7 depending on the day of the week.

Channel 7HD is included in capital city guides. At the moment, it only includes programs that differ from the main 7 channel. This may change, but is something I am still working on.

Any problems, suggestions etc. should be directed to this thread. The data policy on the Oztivo website pretty much sums up my policy for this guide, so I am 'borrowing' it for here.
Thanks to Oztivo, for their guide data, Peter and Peter for the free webspace, and all who helped test the guides.

Many thanks. So much appreciated for Perth. Especially adding in 7HD. Hopefully Channel 1 when it starts next month.

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for producing new guides - they are great.

I have one small query which I hope you can help. I noticed in another post that dates in the sub category field of the TGD info could cause problems. My EPG listings for ABC (Melbourne) only include one or two items at the end of the day. I also noticed that the listings for some days include one or two entries for ABC for subsequent days.

I tried edited out these items from listings in the TGD files but this seems to result in no EPG information being displayed (I use JustEPG) when I update to Toppy.

I am quite happy to edit the listings as for all other channels they appear ok but I wonder if someone could advise as to the correct procedure.

Gussy

I'm assuming you are using NotePad or WordPad without word wrap invoked to edit the TGD file? If so just make sure you delete the entire line. After you have done that look at the formating to make sure it all looks the same and then save should work.

A note to Queenslanders:

On Sat 24th, the Queensland guides will be changing slightly to fix up a few errors and inconsistancies. This may mean you have to re-add/remap some channels.

The new versions are currently availiable at
http://xmltv.locost7.info/Brisbane/OztivoTestBrisbane.zip
http://guides.byremote.com.au/GoldCoast/Oz...stGoldCoast.zip
http://xmltv.locost7.info/RegionalQLD/Ozti...RegionalQLD.zip
so you can test them and check that everything is ok

As you may have noticed there is not much info for channel 7 HD, i can't find any on line source that has this information since yesterday. If people could keep their eye out for information on what is on this week on channel 7 HD this week please speak up and i will change it in the oztivo end.

Hi,

Just started using this EPG after jrobbo's EPG finished. I'm using it in DNTV Scheduler Pro and using the Geelong guide. Works fine but there is no program information just the program title. Should there be program info or does this guide not have this?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, the guide in the oztivo site now has this information but it will take time to process so it will not be in todays guide.
Because i have changed this so late the generated guides would not have that 70's show for today, it is a 1/2 hour after Dungeons And Dragons. It takes about a half an our after the guide has changed for the xml feed that the site generates to be changed and the guides will need to be updated after then and imported for everyone, if you care about this just create a manual recording.

There should be program info (description, category, and sometimes other things like episode title and actors)

Thanks, this led me to discover it was my fault. rolleyes.gif I had changed the theme in DNTV Scheduler Pro when playing around which removed the info from the on-screen display. I set the theme to default and all info is back again. smile.gif

Remember the guide is user contributed, if you have some spare time feel free to modify the data yourself. It should not take a lot of time to match the showing episode to the program it takes about a half hour for a week of programming guide.
I try and keep the Adelaide data up to date though i may only be a day or two ahead some of the time.

Is there a flag available to indicate repeats on the program guide?

unfortunately no, the guide only supports premiere, wide screen and black and white flags.

The xmltv spec does have a lot of flags including a repeat flag but the guide does not include it.

Is there any EPG data for TEN HD (channel 1)? I have attached a PDF program guide. Can this be added to the EPG data?

TIA.

I think you will find that this is already wrong. I believe TEN have dropped Torchwood from the lineup on Thursday.

There should be tenHD data for all capitol cities, we put the data in last week smile.gif

You are right, they have dropped torch wood from the line up, these where going to be repeats but hopefully they decide to begin showing season 2 some time soon.

I use the Geelong guide, do I need to change to the Melbourne guide to get TenHD then?

Contact uryan, he is the one that generates the guides.
When I checked the guides i thought i saw ten in all of them, I guess I missed one of them.
Change to melborne for the moment, you could combine your guides yourself by taking the Gelong and melborne xml files from the zip and copy all the ten HD data from one to the other for the moment.

Tonight there is the shield at 22:30 and snatch at 23:30, check an online guide for more information.

Got his today in a description.

The xmlguide.pl service will be discontinued on March 31, 2008. Please ask the author of your XML data grabber to update it to use the new API. Details can be found at http://minnie.tuhs.org/xmltv/api.html

I'm sure your aware of the changes but just in case...

Cheers Nick
