Changes

• Implemented Settings.xml, including:
  • All six application priorities. Low, BelowNormal, Normal, AboveNormal, High, and Realtime. AboveNormal is now the Default.
  • Window settings to remember Fullscreen, AlwaysOnTop, the Size, and the Position of the window when you close it and restore them when the app is next loaded.
  • Startup volume and mute setting.
  • Startup zoom, zoomMode, and overlay color controls settings.
• Fixed a crash caused when the window spans 2 screens by 1 pixel.
• Fixed menu not hiding after changing channels.
• Fixed channel reorder not saving the channels file.
• Lots of memory leaks removed.
• Added critical sections for most vectors to improve multithreading safety.
• Improved OSD efficiency when displaying long lists (ie. the frequency list).

I've removed all the memory leaks that occurred during ussual operation or scanning, changing channels, showing and hiding menu's etc.
There still might be the odd leak in functionality i didn't test, but at least all the stuff that happens regularly is fine.

The settings.xml file will be created with default settings the first time it's run.

I had some trouble with Ch9 (SD. Havn't really tested HD) stuttering after a few minutes and eventually stalling entirely. Ch9 is the only channel that it happens on. The cpu is only running at 30-40% but I found that it doesn't happen when running DW at above normal priority, so i've set the default priority to above normal. Hopefully that will keep things running smoothly for everyone.

hey nate -just a quick note to say excellent work on dw 2!!!!

I have been using twinhan dtv 2.606 and have been suffering stutters and weird max headrom like effects and well as horrid audio chirps.

I saw that twin han have released new BDA drivers so I installed them then gave DW 2 a try with the intervideo codec -wow!!! My picture is smooth!
Fantastic... the new twinhan bda drivers seem to be working even better than the spectrum bda driver I tried earlier. Looking forward to the new features like recording and timeshifting..

I'm working on VMR9, VMR9 Windowless, and VMR9 Renderless modes now so before long there's be plenty more options to try to get that last little bit of picture improvement.

Looking forward to the new features like recording and timeshifting..

Adding recording is well down the todo list since WebScheduler does all my recording. But you never know, someone else might want to implement it.
The plan for Timeshifting is to extend TSFileSource to create a timeshifting system that can timeshift the entire transport stream. So there's still a bit of work to be done there.

I agree, but then i don't use the mouse. After i've done the mouse stuff it will be fantastic.

I agree because I use the mouse as a remote.
What I like about this software is:
- It's free to use.
- There's support for the product.
- The ability to set separate filters for different media ie. one for MPEG-Audio and another for AC3 audio.
- The software is quite stable (haven't had it crash on me yet)
- Picture is quite stable (not much jitter).
- I can receive SBS in Sydney.

If it had mouse support then I would just settle on using this TV viewer.

The other features I've mentioned elsewhere (signal strength meter, Now and Next) are just nice to have, but the mouse remote is high on my feature list.
