I just downloaded and installed build h ant it works great for me
I have heard rumors that subtitles/teletext might be possible in digitalwatch. Is this possible? I have searched for infromation regarding it, but I have not found any definitive instructions on how to implement them. Paul -------------------- |

New version:
http://marty.id.au/dvb/DigitalWatch726i.zip I realised that the TS Mux output (CaptureFormat = 0) may not have worked because it was sharing the same DEMUX as for the normal Audio/Video output. I have now created yet another demux instance (this would be the third!) dedicated to the TS MUX output and it seems to work fine now. |

@nate,
QUOTE Nice pickup . I don't know why i didn't think of that . You already did some ago, from memory the video decoder blocks the demux buffer thread until it needs more data, this plays havoc with the TS pin delivery introducing dropouts. I had to do the same with my WS test version when using the DSNetsend Filter for TS. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Well done martin. |

QUOTE (bear @ Apr 12 2005, 11:23 PM) @nate, Oh yeah. I remember that now. It's a shame my memory isn't that great. Perhaps there are other things i thought of ages ago that i've forgotten that could help solve current problems. QUOTE Nice pickup . I don't know why i didn't think of that . unfortunately a bug report,
I've been running 0.726H and I also download 0.726I and I've had system reboots with both versions, after a seemingly random amount of time. So far I've tried with the Cyberlink and Intervideo CODECs from the DIGITALWATCH CODEC pack, and both have had system reboots while watching different Networks and Channels (but both were SD, not HD). system specs: AMD XP 2400+ CPU, 1GB DDR RAM, nVidia 6600GT video card, on-board Realtek audio, lots of HDD space free, using an Avermedia A800 USB 2.0 DVB-T tuner, Windows 2000 Pro, DirectX 9.0c, nVidia drivers 71.20 Any other info need to help just ask, I'll try some other CODECs etc. and see if I can nail down a recreatable error. Thanks, Craig |

QUOTE (craigp @ Apr 13 2005, 11:45 PM) unfortunately a bug report, ... I've had system reboots with both versions, after a seemingly random amount of time. Reboots are probably bluscreens. To get more information about the particular bluescreen that youare are having, you will need to disable the restart on bluescreen so that you can read what it is complaining about. To disable the automatic restart: 1.right click my computer and choose properties 2.click on the advanced tab 3.click on the settings button in the startup and recovery area 4.untick the "automatically restart" option and ok out. The next time that it crashes it will sit and wait at a BSOD which may tell you what is at fault. Paul -------------------- |

Source here:
http://marty.id.au/dvb/bda726.zip It's been a while since I looked at it so hopefully none of my strange experiments are still in the code. |

I've been quite happily using DW 0.50 since its release and finaly decided to upgrade the HTPC to the BDA version (so I can use Webscheduler in particular). I'm running MCE2005 (XP sp2), A VP card with the TH BDA drivers and DW 0.726i. Its all working OK except I cant pick-up SBS or Channel 9 (I'm in Geelong or Melbourne). ScanChannelsBDA picks up SBS but only when I do a full area scan and not if I enter the frequency manualy and generate chanels.ini. Neither method picks up channel 9 however. The MCE TV though picks up SBS and 9 fine (but I have serious issue with MCE so its not an option for me it locks up after 5-15 minutes - but thats another story)

I had the same issue on an XPsp2 system and ended up using the Spectrum BDA drivers. Not sure if they will work with MCE though.

MCE is just xp with the additional MCE application, without MCE running its just XP SP2. Interesting, you had the same problems though. I cant seem to find the latest Spectrum BDA's anywhere, the original link is gone. Could someone post them up somewhere so I and others may try them out. |

QUOTE (nate @ Jun 29 2005, 04:27 PM) Thanks Nate, I'll give them a go. What is the best version of DW to try with the Spectrum BDA's? Did I read somewhere there was a 0.724? |
http://nate.dynalias.net/THDTV/
I tried DW 0.722 with not luck, I get a 'unkown error while locking channel'. ScanChannelsBDA 2.006 picks up all the stations fine now though. I also pasted that info into the channels.ini file just to be sure (but no luck). |

Unless you're using martin s' experimental version you need to set DVBInput mode to 4 in settings.ini to use the THBDA drivers.
If you use DW 0.725 and select the right option in the installer then it should do it for you. -------------------- |

Martin/Nate....
Would it be possible to add a shared memory segment that contains the kind of information that is displayed with ShowAll()? I could then support the displaying of that information on external LCDs using my software "CrystalControl2". http://www.crystalfontz.com/ I could probably add this myself, but it would take me a while to work out the data structures, where to put the code, etc etc. |
