QUOTE (MWP @ Jun 30 2005, 06:40 PM) Would it be possible to add a shared memory segment that contains the kind of information that is displayed with ShowAll()? I haven't done anything with shared memory segments before and with limited time i don't really want to start researching it from scratch. Do you have any example code or tut's you can recommend?

I may have missed something and would appreciate your help in catching up with regards to DW and BDA drivers. On your homepage you have DW .701 listed as the latest version. Am I correct in assuming that version does not support BDA drivers (Spectrum)? You have posted a link to .725 and mentioned that using input type 4 will allow the use of what I assume is the shorthand for the spectrum drivers? So... Does that mean that version .725 supports the BDA Spectrum drivers and, if so, where does the experiemental .726 version fit into the picture. I was slightly disapointed to find that the timeslip function didn't work in the experimental version but was so wrapped in all the other features figured I could live without it. If I can have my cake and eat it too that would be very cool. Rgds, Daniel |

The BDA versions i released are lacking a few features like timeshifting and now and next. I didn't update the DW homepage with them because the they were really only test versions to see how BDA worked. I decided i needed to create a new archtecture to get the most out of BDA, so i started working on DW2. While i've been working in DW2 Martin has made a few updates to my original BDA version which has resulted in the expermental version.

In the mean time check out the sneak peek i released.

I'm not sure how easy it will be to get all the data into one place, but i'll look at adding it into DW2. -------------------- |

Has anyone managed, and is it even possible at the moment, to get digitalwatch working with a Compro DVB-T300?
*Edit* - Nevermind, I found Digitalwatch 2 and it works fine |

All the HD channels sound scrambled I'm using DigitalWatch726i. any ideas?
I don't have the same problem when using TwinHan's SDK instead of the BDA drivers btw. # DigitalWatch - AudioDecoders.ini # [Cyberlink Audio Decoder (TwinHan) - Default DirectSound Device] LoadFilter ({BB9DFB08-373E-49C6-88F8-C6538589F8D9}, "Cyberlink Audio Decoder") LoadFilter ({79376820-07D0-11CF-A24D-0020AFD79767}, "Default DirectSound Device") SourcePin ("Cyberlink Audio Decoder", "Audio In") #use ConnectPins line if you want to make sure no other filters get pulled in ConnectPins("Cyberlink Audio Decoder", "Audio Out", "Default DirectSound Device", "Audio Input pin (rendered)") #use RenderPin line if you want to all other filters to get pulled in #RenderPin ("Cyberlink Audio Decoder", "Audio Out") [MPEG Audio Decoder - Default DirectSound Device] LoadFilter({4A2286E0-7BEF-11CE-9BD9-0000E202599C}, "MPEG Audio Decoder") LoadFilter({79376820-07D0-11CF-A24D-0020AFD79767}, "Default DirectSound Device") SourcePin ("MPEG Audio Decoder", "XForm In") RenderPin ("MPEG Audio Decoder", "XForm Out") [Intervideo Audio Decoder - Default DirectSound Device] LoadFilter ({7E2E0DC1-31FD-11D2-9C21-00104B3801F6}, "Intervideo Audio Decoder") LoadFilter ({79376820-07D0-11CF-A24D-0020AFD79767}, "Default DirectSound Device") SourcePin ("Intervideo Audio Decoder", "XForm In") ConnectPins("Intervideo Audio Decoder", "XFrom Out", "Default DirectSound Device", "Audio Input pin (rendered)") [Intervideo Audio Decoder Preferred] LoadFilter ({7E2E0DC1-31FD-11D2-9C21-00104B3801F6}, "Intervideo Audio Decoder") LoadFilter ({79376820-07D0-11CF-A24D-0020AFD79767}, "Default DirectSound Device") RenderSourcePin() [AC3Filter Audio Decoder - Default DirectSound Device] LoadFilter({A753A1EC-973E-4718-AF8E-A3F554D45C44}, "AC3Filter") LoadFilter({79376820-07D0-11CF-A24D-0020AFD79767}, "Default DirectSound Device") SourcePin ("AC3Filter", "In") RenderPin ("AC3Filter", "Out") |

Is there still a problem with DW freezing? i've tried all inputs so far 1,2,3,4,5 the same thing happens with all of them occasionally it would play the video at 1fps after a period of time.
I tried various audio decoders InterVideo and Cyberlink's both produce the same thing randomly it would either pause or play at 1fps. The only way to fix it is to change the channel and it works perfetly it then happens again a few minutes later. I then tried AC3Filter, it isn't as bad as the cl/inv audio decoders but it goes out of sync. It only happens with the HD channels that have AC3 audio it seems |

Hi Martin S,
Great Job on this experimental DW. Everything is working great for me with my Dvico card. I was just wondering if you could make the timeshifting function work with BDA cards, as this is a feature I really love to use? Thanks for your time, Glenn |

Try a different video decoder.QUOTE I think the main problem is DW. It doesn't handle droped frames properly so it just freezes or the audio drops out and then it doesn't resync it self with the video. Handling dropped frames isn't something DW has to do. It's up to the audio and video decoders and renderers to do that. All i can suggest is trying different combinations of them.

hmm after trying multiple dvbinputs, decoders i'm still getting the exact same problem. I've tried:
Cyberlink DTV Video Decoder / Audio Decoder / inputs 1,2,3,4,5 GPL Video Decoder / Audio Decoder / inputs 1,2,3,4,5 Cyberlink DTV Video Decoder / AC3Filter / inputs 1,2,3,4,5 |

nate, i can confirm that the problem wasn't specifically related to DigitalWatch. I tried BDATest and i'm having similar results. I then tried Elecards MPEG-2 Decoder and Cyberlinks Audio Decoder and Default DirectSound Device as the audio renderer and it seems to be working fine. I've left it on for about 12hours now. I'm assuming that i'll get the same results with DigitalWatch, haven't tested it yet.
I think the main problem was with Cyberlink's DTV Decoder i regularly have spikes in my signal and for some reason it wouldn't handle dropped frames properly. The same thing happened with GPL's MPEG-2 decoder but instead the video would slighly lag behind the audio after a while. Elcards MPEG-2 Decoder and CL's audio decoder freeze both the audio and video and replay it. I hope that helps anyone else having the same problem. |
