Hi there,
I'm running XP MCE 2005 in the UK. I have the VisionPlus mini DVB-T card with the Twinhan 1.2.1.2 BDA driver. Everything seems to work ok, except in the following scenario. First I schedule a recording, then I suspend the PC (S3 state, fans off). The PC is able to wake up from the S3 suspend at the specified time, and recording commences (I know this because I can see the dvr-ms file is created). However, when the recording is over, the file size is very small. When I try to view this recording, MCE tells me I have a "corrupt recording". I have tried this scenario with the other Spectrum drivers for this card, and the problem does not show up. How would I go about raising this as a bug in the TwinHan driver, so that it can be fixed in the next version? Thanks Alex |

I have also seen this in AU using WS with the TH BDA driver, in WS I have added a flow detection filter that monitors Data flow in the capture graph and if there is no data flowing WS restarts the capture. Restarting the capture usually fixes the problem and data starts flowing then.

Hi Renura,
Did you manage to report the bug? I was wondering if you'd had any response from them, perhaps a confirmation of the bug or an indication of when it might be fixed. I was thinking, it might be useful for Twinhan to provide a bug reporting tool for this driver, something like bugzilla. This forum isn't the best place for reporting bugs. Which brings me to another point, will this driver ever be downloadable from their main website, or officially supported? I'm actually having another problem related to S3 suspend, when my MCE 2005 PC wakes up to download the EPG (Programme Guide), it stays on and doesn't return to suspend mode. This problem doesn't show up with the other Spectrum driver, so perhaps this is a related bug? Thanks Alex. |

Frankly neither can I, so I am not sure what can be done. I suggest that if you/others can replicate it on other systems, perhaps you can report it directly, Cheers Renura -------------------- Renura Enterprises Pty Ltd - Owner of DigitalNow and MediaNow- Importers, Distributors and Retailers of Digital TV and other Digital Multimedia Solutions

Do you happen to know exactly what steps they took to try and reproduce the problem, as it still exists for me with either the 1.2.1.2 or even the newer 1.2.1.4 TwinHan driver. Could you put me directly in touch with someone at TwinHan to discuss it? I emailed them but got no reply. If anyone else is reading this, are you a MCE 2005 user with this tv card? Can you reproduce the problem? Thanks, Alex. |

Hi Alex,
You are probably better off posting in the VP section. There are lots of members using MCE. http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showforum=17 I am afraid if Twinhan does not answer your e-mails there nothing I can do.
