DNTV + Media Portal Options

Hi all,

I just downloaded Media Portal 1.0.10 last night and am having trouble autotuning.
It won't tune to any TV stations 

The DNTV live! software tunes fine.

I suspect that I may have to manually tune the stations in, however I dont know where to find all the parameters for manual TV station entry 


I own a DNTV Live! DVB-T card and am running Windows XP Pro (SP2)
With latest video drivers etc etc..

YOu will need to tell us where you live. I have MP scanning all Melbourne channels except SBS - parameters below.

Hi Guys,

I have been playing around with Media Portal and found a couple of things that may help.

In my location channel 10 has a frequency of 788625. This is similar to SBS in Melbourne. To get channel 10 to scan I had to edit the dvbt.xml file in the Media Portal directory. I just changed the carrier frequency from 788500 to 788625 and now channel 10 scans no problem.

Another thing I have found is that after a reboot Media Portal finds no stations until I run Showshifter and change channels. This is repeatable. The same thing happens with Web Scheduler. Very strange. All programs using the same BDA drivers.

No such problem with DNTV Live software.

I can't get Media Portal to autotune either. Dialo comes up, it the progress bar is slowly moving, but I get a NullException error dialog:
