Has anyone been able to get Media Portal to recognise & use the DNTV card?
http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/ There doesn't seem to be any mention of this combination either here, DBA, or on MP's site. Tim. |

I tried with both the DVICO and DNTV Live. it recognises both cards but can't get it to scan anything.
Maybe we should submit a formal request to make sure it is added on the lits of supported cards. http://nolanparty.com/mediaportal.sourcefo...opic.php?t=3318 I am away from my HTPC for a few days, I will do when I get back, unless someone wants to do it. |

Turns out that my email must have got lost. Anyway, I have managed to get the information through without any problems.
Only problem now is that I am not getting any picture in MediaPortal when using the DNTV Live! card. I do get a picture with the FusionHDTV USB. Note that the graph builds. Anyway, I will continue looking at it. -------------------- From Kenneth

Guys,
Mediaportal 0.1.0.9 is up and working with my DNTVLive! and Visionplus DVB-t cards (on the one HTPC). Problems are: 1. Can't tune to SBS Melbourne (Showshifter, DNTVLive!, DVBProg etc find SBS without any problem) 2. Occasionally reports TV card is busy (even if no other application is running) 3. Occasionally resets when changing channels. I haven't delved too far as it is buggy and I am not prepared to spend too much time - nice to know it works though. Overall a versatile program, skinable with a well designed and consistent GUI with the potential to operate with only a simple remote (Nirvana!) but still quite buggy. It seems to be developing quickly. Has anyone else had problems tuning to SBS? Regards ancall -------------------- ancall

Cheers Renura Hi Renura, Yep tried that - I get either a blank screen, freeze frame on the previous channel or Disappointing as I am keen on MP because it seems to have the best GUI for use with a remote control. I'll ask around in the MP forums. Regards ancall -------------------- ancall

Also, don't bother trying to edit channels either after you've autotuned - they won't save properly. The safest way is to autotune and then leave it as it is. These two bugs have been fixed however and so the new version should work. Also, remember, the MP log is your best friend - if you want, post it here and I'll see if its related to the bug I described. Sam |

I installed Mediaportal 0.1.0.10 last night. It works well with both DNTVLive! and Visionplus cards. Unfortunately no progress with SBS Melbourne. I have tried to install channels manually with no luck. I can tune to SBS using Showshifter, DNTVLive! and MyTheatre. I tried building a filter graph and found I could tune to the other Melbourne stations but not SBS. Maybe I have the wrong parameters. Can someone please confirm that SBS Digital 1 Melbourne is: 536625kHz, ONSID=12802 SID=785 TSID=784 Audio PID=81 Video PID=161 PMT=1028 I know some tuning programs use 536500kHz and DNTVLive! shows PMT as 1025. Changing these doesn't help. I don't understand why I can't build a graph when some programs can do this. I am missing something subtle and its driving me mad! I don't see anything in the logs but will post here later today. Regards ancall -------------------- ancall

Hi all,
I just downloaded Media Portal 1.0.10 last night and am having trouble autotuning. It won't tune to any TV stations The DNTV live! software tunes fine. I suspect that I may have to manually tune the stations in, however I dont know where to find all the parameters for manual TV station entry I own a DNTV Live! DVB-T card and am running Windows XP Pro (SP2) With latest video drivers etc etc.. thanks in advance for your help Cheers Eddie |
