Hello,

I am looking for a method to configure DiSEqC (satellite number) from an application reading DVB-S/S2 stream.

My application reads the full TS from various types of DVB tuners using DirectShow / BDA. With DVB-S devices, I can read the TS but I cannot switch to a satellite other than the first one behind a DiSEqC switch.

I currently use a TechnoTrend TT-connect S2-3600 on Windows 7. I can tune on a specific frequency, set the LNB (band, polarization) and read the TS, it works as long as I stay on satellite 0 (my DiSEqC switch is connected to 3 dishes). The TT 3600 is definitely able to switch to another satellite because ProgDVB, for instance, is able to scan and receive all 3 satellites using this tuner on this Win7 PC. I would like to do the same in my application and do not know how.

I would prefer a general method, not something TT-specific.

I have tried several tracks without luck.

1) Some posts suggest that IDVBSTuningSpace.put_InputRange was used by some drivers to transmit DiSEqC settings, and especially the satellite number. Does not work for me.

2) The interface IDVBSLocator2 (new in Win7) has a method named put_DiseqLNBSource which takes values such as BDA_LNB_SOURCE_A, _B, _C and _D. Does not work for me.

3) The interface IBDA_DiseqCommand seems promising, but I could not find any element in the graph which implements it.

Does anyone managed to switch satellites from a DirectShow / BDA application?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

This post might be of interest
http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?show...ost&p=75438, unless you have access to the device manufacturers sdk then you will struggle to get it working. Manufacturers generally use their own interfaces to control the dish switching. Good luck!
