Hi, I am trying to add the hdhomerun tuners to dntv scheduler pro so I can consolidate all my recording on one box. I have everything working locally with quicktv and or vlc but scheduler pro cannot find the hdhomerun tuner. Only the dntv tinytwin usb BDA filters are discovered in scheduler pro. I have tried the repair/reinstall windows components option in hdhomerun setup.
I am sure this should work - any suggestions? |

QUOTE Australian customers please note: The first batch of HDHomeRun have a sticker underneath the unit that says ATSC (American). The sticker is incorrect. You do have the correct DVB-T unit. Not sure if this means anything....QUOTE Only the dntv tinytwin usb BDA filters are discovered in scheduler pro Take a look at the devicescan.log file in the log directory to see if it has seen the device, it's possible that it is listed in another category other than "BDA Source Tuners" if it has not tried loading the device.

Thanks, I am having another look at this again. I have downloaded and installed TV scheduler pro (184) and it now recognises the HD-HomeRun tuners. Here is a snip of the log files - I think it goes wrong from the Cannot GetControlNode 80070057 line??? : This does suggest that the drivers may not be fully BDA compliant.QUOTE Failed to get IEnumTuneRequests This suggests that the transport stream is not being passed on by the device, I am aware of some devices only passing the single program stream from the device rather than the full stream that contains the PSI tables etc to allow the service detection to work for BDA. Can only suggest at this time to try the tuner and scheduler on another PC setup.

I also had problems getting the HDHomerun to work with TV Scheduler Pro.
The trick for me was to allow 'scan.exe' (from C:\TV Scheduler Pro\win32) (I allowed the other exe files too) through the Windows firewall. thanks to Paul123 from: http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/...ve/t-35289.html I wish I read that months ago! |
