I am looking at moving recording from Windows 7 Media Center for recording (still using for playback) and I want to use DNTV Scheduler Pro 2.
Media Center is tuned to the tuners so do I have to do anything more than just remove the scheduled recordings from Media Center and install DNTV Live and DNTV Scheduler Pro 2? I am just concerned that Media Center will beleive it owns the tuners and there will be a conflict. Idealy I would like to have the tuners shared transparently but I think that is a long shot because I will be watching everything through Media Center because I will be recording to DVR-MS. I like to start watching Cricket from Media Center or xBox about half an hour in so I skip the advertisments but not sure if that would be possilbe using Scheduler Pro2 until the program is finished recording? Thanks. |

Best thing to do is to allocate one tuner to Media Center and all the others to DNTV Scehduler Pro, that way there will never be any conflict. -------------------- Renura Enterprises Pty Ltd - Owner of DigitalNow and MediaNow- Importers, Distributors and Retailers of Digital TV and other Digital Multimedia Solutions

Thanks now do I tune using DNTV Live first or just install DNTV Live then DNTV Scheduler Pro 2 and do the scan there or do I tune at both stages? It does not matter, the order. If you are not using DNTV Live! for viewing, then you do not need to run it at all, simply use DNTV Scheduler Pro for scanning the channels and for recording. -------------------- Renura Enterprises Pty Ltd - Owner of DigitalNow and MediaNow- Importers, Distributors and Retailers of Digital TV and other Digital Multimedia Solutions

Ok I found I could tune channels on DNTV Live with good signal level 90% and 100% quality, I assume this is accurate and it was very easy to do.
I closed DNTV Live In DNTV Scheduler Pro I found I could not Autoscan as my location is not listed. I was able to scan for tuners and set them up even though I selected my nearest location Ballarat which obviously does not have the correct frequencies. It looks like you can manually add but that looks like Satellite settings. How do you just do a full scan of Digital TV channels and pick up what is available? I did not work out how to browse DNTV Scheduler pro from another network compter I tried the IP address for the Media Center http://192.168.1.16:8088 and it times out. I am finding this quite challenging. Thanks |

Additional Information
I was able to work out by trial and error to drop down the list in Manual ADD and select DVB-T then just add the frequency and scan. |

CODE I did not work out how to browse DNTV Scheduler pro from another network compter I tried the IP address for the Media Center http://192.168.1.16:8088 and it times out. Try using the network names, like as displayed by windows network, eg QUOTE , you may also need to enter an exception for the port in the pc firewall.
