Hi all, I installed the Sabrent HDTV card in my mom's computer so that she could have a PVR with a terabyte of space as opposed to the Rogers PVR with only 160GB. The Rogers PVR cost over $500 but I was able to throw her a computer together out of spare parts I had. (I'm a tech nut) Initially, the card and software worked fine but the problem was that the picture was terrible due to the use of an old Radeon 9250 AGP card. I tried an nVidia Geforce 8500GT 1GB but the sound kept messing up. I recently bought her an Asus Radeon HD 3450 AGP card with 256mb that is totally designed for HDTV but now I'm getting no signal at all even though the connection is exactly the same. I might be doing something wrong as I'm new to this. I have the cable out from the Digital Cable Box running to the card's cable in port. When I scan channels in analog TV, it finds 5 channels when I think it should only be finding 1. In any case, the channels are all blank and I do not know why. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Without knowing your HW set-up I can only speak from my personal experience.
Those problems you mentioned in your post usually appear when a new card uses too many MB resources especially when cards are sharing the same bus or IRQ. In your case it might be exactly that. Try moving your TV card into another slot (PCI?) and rescan TV channels. That might help. Also, keep in mind that some MB's might not be powerful enough to run some heavy duty graphic and TV cards at the same time, so the above advice might not even solve your issue, but it's worth a try.
