I am facing one serious problem when using techno trend device [TT S2-3600] for tuning to live signal.

I am trying to tune live signal through Techno Trend device [TT S2-3600] directly from Satellite Dish. In this Scenario, Satellite Dish needs LNB voltage and 22 kHz tone from digital receiver [In my case TT S2-3600]. For this, I have to supply LNB voltage and 22 kHz tone output related information in to DirectShow. but how ?

The same scenario is working with TT S-2400. When I connect S2-3600, DirectShow is throwing an Error in IMediaControl.Run() function. It returns value is “1” [I guess it is equivalent to false].

This problem is occurring only when I connect TT S2-3600 Direct from Satellite Dish [There is no other h/w in between Dish and Techno Trend]. However same TT S2-3600 is working in when I connect it with distribution system [Where some hardware connect in between Satellite Dish and TT S2-3600]

Please let me know if you need any further detail in this regard.

Any Reply will be appreciated.

Thanks
Harish

Do you know if the device is capable of providing LNB Power or implements Tone Switching etc, doesn't mention anything in the specifications that is easily seen.

Thanks for your Reply!

If I use the same Techno Trend Device (TT-3600) with Set Up Box [Using Splitter] . In this cas my BDA Wrapper / Driver is working fine. When I use Techno Trend Device (TT-3600) direct from Dish [there is no hardware in between dish and TT-3600] then I am not bale to lock the signal.

Please let me know if you any further information.

Thanks

So do you think that the setup box provides LNB power and tone switching to the satellite LNB and when the box is removed your unable to get any power to the LNB or switch it using tones from just having the Techno Trend Device (TT-3600) device connected directly? Do you think that the device has support for LNB power and tone switching? The reason for asking is that most DVBS devices that support LNB power and control require external power supplies or are powered directly from the PC buss interface.
