Thanks for that. From all the different copies of DigitalTv I have, all the 9015 drivers have DigitalNow TinyTwin under the strings section. I have a TinyTwin v1 here somewhere but currently use a v3 as the v1 kept crashing with these drivers under windows 8. We think i was because of the USB 3.0 ports but not sure. The TinyTwin v3 works a treat under windows 8. Never tried win 10 and no intention of while win 8 works so well

FWIW, the v1 works fine here under 8.1Pro x86 using the 9.603.1 drivers albeit on USB 2 ports, (and has done since Win8.1 became available). Only use it to record some programs on C31.

Just curious but which number did you choose under the drivers folder to install the correct drivers for the TinyTwin? I have the package you mention but not sure what driver to choose as there are about 20 numbered folders.

TinyTwin (v1) uses Afa9015 chipset, so the 9015 folder in the DigitalTV archive. If you look at the AF15BDA.inf file you'll see an entry for the DigitalNow TinyTwin under the [Strings] section.

Thanks @Pitzbull, copied them across to my Mega account OK.

Was there at some stage (digitalnow) if you want them I am happy to upload somewhere for you. The zip is less than 5mb so I could even email them to you.
Just installed DNTV scheduler and it is working a peach with these drivers from digitaltv 3.4 build 19-02_20090212 as it still has tinytwin id

I think if you upload them somewhere, others might want to access the later drivers also, I just downloaded the DigitalTV package so I'll give that a try when I install W10 again.

Thanks again.

I may have found the solution it appears that my old faithful drivers from digitaltv 3.4 build 19-02_20090212 work on my tinytwin V1. The 9641 installed but I could not get any app to scan for channels with them.

That's great!

OK, looks like it might be something as simple as the info in the .inf file to handle Windows version 6.4x, I'll have a look at it. Have to reinstall Win10 later to see if the old drivers work OK on my machine.

One question though: where did you get 9641 drivers?

The only ones I see on the DigitalNow site are the old 9.603.1 drivers from back in 2009, (that's the version that W10 was complaining about).

Wait a minute, so you're not using DigitalNow drivers ?

If so, it means DNTV Scheduler Pro won't work as the driver won't have the DigitalNow TinyTwin hardware ID, AFAIK - guess I'll have to test.

Will the Tiny Twin, (v1 in my case), drivers be updated to enable installation on Windows 10 ?

At the moment I get Driver is not intended for this platform. when trying to reinstall them.

It actually migrated the driver from 8.1Pro to 10Pro but wouldn't record anything via DNTV Scheduler, reinstalled Java and DNTV Scheduler but it looks like it's the driver that is the problem, so in the meantime I'll be rolling back Windows to 8.1.

I have another Auto Add request if you're in the mood smile.gif

Currently the Auto Adds only use an implicit AND in their matches, eg. Title match AND Description match

Any chance of making OR available?

Currently, I have two Auto Adds set up, one to match a Title and one to catch a match in the Description because some stations, (*cough* Nine *cough*), have yet to show enough intelligence with both title and description in the EPG.

So I'd like to match the Title OR Description without possibly having it matched and recorded twice.

Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Unless there are lurkers not saying anything about their Quads not working it looks like the people having trouble are Win7 users.

Has anyone tried turning off Aero to lessen GPU load?

Or running it through XP?

Haven't got a Quad myself but I know Aero has a serious impact on me when trying to capture analog, (even though I have a quad core CPU and dedicated graphics), anyway a couple of ideas.

Well, of the DVB-T tuners I have, I get the following results at the closest outlet to the aerial using TSReaderLite, (good program, pity it doesn't quite fit into a 1024x600 display smile.gif :

AfaTech 9015 Chipset:
TinyTwin - All channels, ABC -> SBS @ 98-100% Quality. Any channel past SBS is not received at all - no indication of any channels being broadcast.
Maplin rebadged Twinhan 704JJ - Same as TinyTwin, (they are the same device).

Chipset unknown:
Compro U300 - What signal? Understandable, my experience with it has been the signal has to be: not too weak, not too strong but juuusssstttt rrriiiiggghhttt!

Phillips Chipset:
DigiNet DTV168 USB (Need to use it's own software as it's not even remotely BDA.) - All SD + HD channels, everything, no problems, zip, zero, nada.
DGTEC PVR-SD01 - All SD channels, no problem.

AfaTech 9013 Chipset:
Highlander DH2816 STB - All SD + HD channels, no problem.

So from this rather simple test it seems the TinyTwin/Twinhan has a rather sharp shoulder for frequencies above 536000kHz, (at my place anyway). Maybe I should just stick to Philips chipsets wink.gif

If TVS in Melbourne is transmitted the same way as it is in Sydney, it will be using a very robust modulation method. This should pretty well guarantee you receive it OK, in particular if you are getting SBS (on a nearby frequency) correctly.

You are receiving from the main transmitter site, aren't you? The frequencies are as below.

I live in Kalorama, ~6km from the main transmitter towers on Mt Dandenong but unfortunately there's a great deal of trees between me and it, (technically in what the shire calls the Kalorama North Digital TV Reception Black Spot).
I know I need a better aerial but as I said in my OP, both a cheap HD-STB, (Highlander DH-2816), and a DGTEC PVR, (PVR-SD01), can receive TVM without a problem, (except for the occasional freeze when the wind sways the trees). The STB can even pick up the 3D trial OK.

I can only assume that the STB and PVR are a bit more sensitive than the TinyTwin.

The PVR is almost directly under the aerial, whereas the STB and TinyTwin are ~22m further, (Dual-Shield RG6 with F connectors everywhere). There's a DigiMatch 10MM-MA30P masthead amp which improved the reception a lot over the very old KingRay MHU34G.

I've tried the TinyTwin at the aerial socket for the PVR without luck, I might give it another go before replacing the aerial with something better, (ATM it's a cheap AntSig from Arlec).

There is a small typo in the station data file, replace it with the attached and you should be fine

Thanks, that fixed it.

Still won't tune it in though, unfortunately. Guess I'll have to put more work into the antenna.

Hi folks, I just noticed this with DNTV Scheduler Pro 2.0.8.2 but I don't get offered the option to scan for Melbourne TVM in the Auto Scan list, even though it appears in the stationdata.list file.

Sydney's TVS appears OK.

I've updated Java and reinstalled DNTV Scheduler Pro but it still won't appear.

This doesn't give a lot of confidence since a cheap HD-STB and an even cheaper DGTEC SD-PVR can both pick up TVM while the TinyTwin can't. (I've tried the TinyTwin on different computers at the same antenna points as the STB & PVR but it so far won't pick up TVM.)

First image is scan list for Melbourne, second is Sydney:

I have added a change to work around the issue if you wish to try it.

Thanks, installed it.

The result is the 1-3 minute programs are still there, (almost 90% of ABC programs), but they have been specified as 'EMPTY' so as such don't get picked up by the Auto Add.

So it works as intended - if the intention was to remove duplicate program Auto Adds that is wink.gif

Thanks again bear, this will at least save some space on my HDD when I head OS in a couple of weeks.

Thanks bear, another thought though - perhaps an option in the Auto Add settings to specify the minimum duration of a program?

eg. You specify 15 minutes and any program with a duration less than this won't be Auto Added.

This would (kind of) solve the ABC EIT problem while adding another useful option to Auto Add to avoid matching wrong programs.

Nope, it's still there - the previous screengrab is from Monday, 8th. It seems to get progressively worse the closer to the current date you are, ie. the more EIT scans that are performed for a date.

It doesn't stand out that far ahead but you can pick out small slivers of 1 minute here and there, see below for Saturday, 13th.

The info is from the 1 minute program but is clearly referring to the main program below which has 'No information'.

Sorry, should have explained better.

You're right, the problem is duplication, (not overlapping as I said originally), of the programs on ABC but the first occurrence is only 1-3 minutes duration. So according to the EPG grab I posted, Scrapheap starts at 1830 and goes for 3 minutes, then at 1833 it starts again for a duration of 47 minutes. Obviously it should run from 1830 for 50 minutes, it's only because of the padding time of 10 minutes at the start that I don't lose anything.

With DNTV SP 2.069 I was able to see what channel it had pulled in the EPG entry from but I seem to have had a braincell reduction since and can't find it anymore. ie. In my original post I stated it had pulled in the EPG for channels 73 & 75 which seemed to both correspond to ABC2, never mind that the EPG was identical except for the 1-3 minutes drift between the two channels.

I don't see how I could modify the Auto Add to only pick up one since the only way would be to restrict it to a specific time period of only 1-3 minutes for matching.....and that is something I would never consider doing for Australian TV scheduling, I might as well not record it.

Thanks for 1 & 2.

Re the channel mapping, I'm not quite sure what you mean, the first image shows my mapping as was automatically set by DNTV SP, (using 2.073 now BTW but still same problem).

And the second the result of the default EIT scan on ABC HDTV with a schedule added by Auto Add. You can see that programs appear twice, (you can't see it from the small screengrab but it's almost every program), which results in duplicated scheduled recordings. The difference in start/finish time is always 1-3 minutes between the two program occurrences.

A couple of program suggestions for the next version:

1) An easy way to export/import the system configuration so I don't have to set it all up again each time I upgrade the program or install on another machine. smile.gif

Something as simple(?) as exporting the relevant xml to a single xml or just copying them to another location.

2) The ability to specify a time and spacing to do an EIT scan when you hit the Create EPG Scan Schedules button.

While this is possibly not relevant to me now that my DNTV Scheduler setup has moved to my 24/7 downloader, it was irritating to have to change the times when it was running on my main PC because it was rarely on at midnight whereas it was on mainly from 0800-2300 so it was preferable to have the scan run during the daytime when, (basically), there was nothing but sh*t on the TV anyway. laugh.gif

Addendum: Also, because ABC2 appears on channel 73 & 75, (actually it appears to be all the ABC channels), I'm getting overlapping EPG info and any Auto Add items on that channel are scheduled twice.

I don't see that patch in the file you uploaded. Could you update please.

I didn't put it in because it's purely a personal preference and not related to the css bug, it's easy enough to add the line in if like me you just want to keep track of it during a recording start without having to hit refresh all the time.

eg. Edit C:\Programs\DNTV Scheduler Pro\http\themes\greenskin\xsl\status.xsl to look like:
QUOTE
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">

<xsl:template match="/">

<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60" />
<title>DNTV Scheduler Pro System Status</title>
.
.
.

You might need to edit it into any other status.xsl files depending on what theme/skin you're running.

I've just inserted it into all the status.xsl files so it's there no matter what theme I run.

rolleyes.gif Not sure what in ver 3 had changed but as long as everyone is happy.....

Yes, it's a really old thread but it started bugging me again why I had to set text to 15 in Firefox just to have the menu buttons correctly spaced.

And, i think I found the answer wink.gif

I'll only refer to the default greenskin, (DNTV Scheduler Pro\http\themes\greenskin), theme since that's what I normally use but the 'bug' may exist in the css files for the other themes.

In xsl\status.xsl you have this css class for each button on the DNTV Scheduler Status page:
CODE
<span class='imgpad'>

In the css\main.css file that class doesn't exist, instead it's:
CODE
#main_menu img{

If you change the above line to:
CODE
#main_menu imgpad{

And set your default font size in Firefox back to 16, you should find that the menu is now correctly displayed.

Note this typo is still there in DNTV Scheduler Pro 2.05, it doesn't affect IE because it picks up the class from another css file.

QUOTE (therat @ Nov 16 2008, 02:47 PM)
I'll wait till bear or 4wd post a fix for firefox.

I hope 8 months wasn't too much of a wait laugh.gif

I also add the following line below the <head> tag in xsl\status.xsl to make the status page refresh every minute:
CODE
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60" />

No sorry that was me. The difference between the two browsers is that in Firefox, The System item on the top menu in on the second line whereas in IE it is always on the top line. Doesn't matter what you do in Firefox the system icon is always on the second line.

Which is why I'd like to know if the main page HTML is editable, (I can't seem to find it among the interface files in the directory), so I can at least fix it on my PC.

Unfortunately that seems to be for Scheduler 2.0.3, which I only just downloaded.

In my post above I stated I was referring to 2.0.2 however I neglected to mention that I was using the Free*EPG XMLTV downloader - the Now & Next was displaying correctly, I just had no EPG display.

However, since you have kindly sent me the link for 2.0.3 and I've downloaded it, I'll set it up as per your link and see what happens.

Thanks.

EDIT: 2.0.3 is showing the EPG fine, thanks.

However, the main page is still screwed as per original post - is the main page an editable file or hard-coded into the app?

Ever since I upgraded to Firefox 3 I've had a funny display problem on the Scheduler Pro homepage (see image).

The functionality of the page has not changed, it just looks odd. The page displays fine in IE7.

I've tried uninstall/reinstall of Scheduler Pro and Firefox

I've got the same problem here using Portable Firefox 3.0.3 and DNTV Scheduler Pro 2.0.2.

I also don't get an EPG, just a blank blue page.

Can't test with IE, it isn't installed on my computers.

However, the IE core is still there and using Browzar the main page is OK but the EPG is still a blank blue page.
