When I connect a DVB-T2 card with the cable coming from the LNB of a satellite dish
(with an adapter coax plug to 'F' socket), will I be able to scan any satellite programs?

My guess is no.
I tried it today but when scanning the software did not find any satellite stations,
only the digital terrestrial stations were found.

As far as I understand it, DVB-T and DVB-S are from the same family
but have different modulations and frequency ranges.

Is there any way to "hack" a DVB-T card to become a DVB-S card?
