No, I mean you have +930 in...

CODE
<timezone>+930</timezone>
<tzoffset>+0100</tzoffset>

It should be...
CODE
<timezone>+0930</timezone>
<tzoffset>+0100</tzoffset>

Otherwise is sees it as +9300 (I should add a check for <-12 or >12).

The default config is...
CODE
<timezone>auto</timezone>
<tzoffset>+0000</tzoffset>

which I have used for years with no issues.

Also tested on Win 10 Fine.

OK !
Yes I confirm it works a treat from the first looks at it.
I did get epg overlaps reported by TV Scheduler Pro, on every epg day I open up, which I'll look into once I've finished working 12 hour days ...

(I can now desist with a limited poor man's ota grabber which was based on a subset of your code).

Many thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS later, I'll post a working Adelaide Metro Area folder here (with adelaide metro area ota frequencies, grabbing from ota and from tvguide.org, and with xml channelmaps to match IceTV's channel names) so you could include it in your distro, if you like.

Glad to hear it,

happy to add Adelaide into distro when you have it ready. Might add some TZ checking also.

Cheers,

JC.

OK.

the zip file safexmltv-11.1-adelaide.zip contains successful Adelaide settings, downloading the channels' own EPGs from over.the.air only.

The only unsurprising downside appears to be
- it takes about 10 mins to run (ok by me, I schedule it to run in the wee hours of the morning)
- and then channel 7 omits EPG settings before the time-of-run "today"

folder

file
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=81336...hint=file%2czip

Cheers

Hi Calvi.

Firstly, thanks for still supporting this. After what happened to ICETV I'm revisiting your EPG downloader and I must say, it's pretty much perfect! I just have a couple of questions please (I'm using the default config - for Melbourne):-

1/ How do I get the "previously-shown" tag set for when a show is a repeat? in my EPG, I see lots of occurrences of this tag but never with anything in it (it's always empty). What I'm looking for is either:

"<previously-shown>Y</previously-shown>" or "<previously-shown>N</previously-shown>" ... or something similar. Any clues please?

2/ The only thing I miss about the ICE guide is the inclusion of the keyword "Movie:" in the program title (for movies of course). Is there any way of achieving something similar?

Thanks.

Hi Ray,

1. I use TVSP to do my recordings and TVSP will flag an item as a repeat if the previously-shown tag is present for an item in the guide data. Y and N are not valid, the element should contain the date when previously shown but just the presence or non presence of the tag defines if it is a repeat or not.
I have my TVSP set to store xml files for all captures (built in functionality) and SafeXMLTV parses this folder and generates a repeatlist.txt file to determine if I have recorded this programme before. If I have then <previously-shown></previously-shown> is inserted into the guide. This way I automatically exclude from auto-adds items I have recorded before (Same Title and Subtitle).

Note: SafeXMLTV also sets the <previously-shown></previously-shown> tag if the programme has appeared already within the xml file it is creating.

2. Only if it is already in the original source. This exists in the Ice guide, and the EPG transmissions for Channel 31 and Ten only. You also need to remove the default
CODE
<prereplace>

[\x00-\x08\x0b\x0c\x0e-\x1f\x7f-\xa0]::;;
<title.*>.*movie.?: ?(.*)?<::
$1<;;
<title.*>(.*) ?\(new.*\).*<::
$1<;;
<title.*>(.*) - series premiere<::
$1<

</prereplace>

which removes the Movie tag (as well as new, series premiere etc) as I don't personally like these.

I am not sure how it would be feasible to programmatically determine if an item is a movie as the length is not enough of a clue as many items are as long as movies but not movies.

Hi Calvi,

Thanks for keeping this available for so many users. I've just started to use the downloader that you have developed. Im in Melbourne. WHen I run the download process, I get "OZTIVO Not a valid xmltv file!" I've tried to register on the OZTIVO site, but it says that registration is no longer required to download the file. What am I doing wrong?

<xmltvlocation="Oztivo" Username="" Password=""> OR even
<xmltvlocation="oztivo" Username="ENTER USERNAME HERE" Password="ENTER PASSWORD HERE">

and it worked fine, (as is without any changes at all).

have you changed anything?

No - have not changed anything.

Here is the config.guidedog.log file output

Initialising
Loading default settings
Loading Settings from file: config.guidedog
Loading Xmltv file from oztivo
Downloading datalist.xml
Downloading datalist.xml from 2nd source
Could not retrieve datalist.xml.gz
oztivo
Not a valid xmltv file!
0 programs found. No file has been written

And config.guidedog
I'll download the file again for fresh copy.

Well, just one more then smile.gif

There's a couple new channels starting in Melbourne at least. Chan 9HD (Nov 26) and SBS Food Network (today). Will it be much effort to get these added please?

Cheers.

Thanks mate.

By the way, I started seeing something weird with sbs2. All show titles have been replaced with category names! All descriptions etc are fine but all the shows for this channel are entitled, Movie, Documentary, Drama etc etc.

Anyone else?

Thanks. Looks like all sbs channels are affected now.

Maybe excluding oztivo for now is recommended.

Actually, which sources would you recommend using instead? If I exclude tvguide.org (which I assume is oztivo) there's really only epgscan left and these are not very comprehensive.

Cheers.
