Currently I use EyeTV for my software. It supports an EPG (depending on if the broadcaster has one) and also the payed ICE-TV service.

Only drawback is it doesn't support free XML-based EPG's like Webscheduler does.

Which browser are you using?

If you are using IE 6, please see the thread at http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showtopic=8326 and download the interface fixes file (note that it only works for the 'greenskin' theme currently).

Please switch to the greenskin keyboard theme or delete the default folder (http\themes\default), copy the greenskin folder and rename it to default.

There was a small error that happened when the theme was sent out for distribution that had the correct theme files etc. but the default theme wasn't changed over to the greenskin theme.

BTW... it pays to re-boot the DNTV to clear out the cache ??

A Ctrl+R is usually what I do to clear the cache.

Attached is the first beta for the IE 6 transparency bug. Further adjustments will be made over the next couple of weeks if needed and the icon resizing problem should be fixed in the next beta.

It is best to backup your http & data\templates folders just in case something, for some reason goes wrong.

Remember to switch to 'greenskin' for the keyboard interface skin. This will also give you the proper front page and keyboard skin.

The only skin that has this beta applied is 'greenskin'. The blue versions will be adjusted at a later time.

A patch should be out by the weekend which will fix the IE 6 transparency problem being noticed here as well as fixing some strange icon sizes in IE 6.

I will boot into Windows XP and check IE 6 tomorrow.

If it is a recurring problem, a patch will be uploaded here.

Note that this version contains a light blue and dark blue versions of the skin. To activate, comment out the greenskin lines in main.css and wsepg.css by placing /* and */ around the greenskin lines.

Then remove the /* and */ around the blueskin_light or blueskin CSS lines.

Please note that not all icons and interface elements will appear correctly as the green skin was the main focus for the interface.

Also, to get the front page appearing correctly as well as the latest EPG and keyboard interface skins (until a fix comes), please switch the theme to 'greenskin' (under Keyboard interface preferences).

It's feeling good. !! Anyone have a hint on how to change the web interface colours from dark-green and black, to something a little lighter and breezy... a "feel-good" factor...

I'm OK with editing web pages with notepad if you can point me to the right place. unsure.gif Tried changing the theme, but must be for something different as the colours persisted.

The main reason for the interface having the darker colours is to integrate it into a HTPC setup.

If you don't like the colours, then you can wait for a lighter blue version to come out (the dark green will be the standard (along with some other colours)) but this isn't a high priority as getting every element skinned takes time and I am currently focusing on the current dark green design. If you don't want to wait for the light blue version to come out, edit the css files in the html folder (IIRC) as well as modifying some of the other files in the data\templates folder.

The reason why you can't get to the page is because the server isn't running.

I am not sure though of the behaviour when you don't install it as a service as I only run it as a service. Try starting wrapper.exe before you open the URL (might cause another tray icon to start though).

If anyone has any suggestions for the interface's colour scheme, please let me know.

Note the following:
-Colours will be done (as well as the rest of the interface design) when I don't have any other projects (mainly study related) happening, as well as when I am not working on the main scheme (as additional colours will take longer).
-The WS blue will not be used but a darker or more Cyan blue scheme could be used
-The current green scheme will still exist as the default skin but will undergo some colour changes (mainly EPG related)

It looks like your main.css file also had some extra sutff at the bottom. This was the start of trying to have skin/themes for the main interface was it..... : )

Yep. Expect to see some changes for that over the next couple of months as well as new icons and hopefully a better EPG layout.

I did change the "schedule" id (#schedule) width to 900px to resolve a centering issue that I managed to notice tonight.

I have looked on my iMac's screen (running at 1680x1050) and there is no issue in either Safari or Firefox.

Note that the margin: 15px auto; (or whatever it is) attribute on #schedule tells the browsers (IE 6 and up for IE) to centre the page.

I assume (seeing from the screenshot) that you are running a resolution larger than 1024x768.

Try the updated CSS file. If that doesn't work, then there is something weird going on that I have never seen before. I do have access to a larger resolution screen that what I use on my PC (ie. my iMac's 20" screen) so if the problem persists, I will investigate further.

BTW. Attached is a fix that may solve any issues of the schedule table being aligned slightly right of centre.

Place the file in your DNTV Scheduler Pro\http\css folder.

Hi Renura,

First up thanks for releasing this version of WS. About the only fault I can find is a minor formating issue for the Schedules page, which appears to have the table offset to the right. <http://localhost:8080/servlet/ScheduleDataRes>. This occured on both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I tried to hack through the code to fix it, while I was changing the colour scheme, but could not work it out.
Adrian

Any screenshots?

I thought YOU were providing the commercial version.....

null_pointer is providing the commercial version (ie. Webscheduler). DNTV Scheduler Pro is a free version available for DigitalNow products (plus any BDA-compatible card as long as there is a DigitalNow product in the system).

As the mod also makes the EPG window background blue instead of the nice green will have to check if the background can be altered.

It should be able to. It would be a case of having to just go into the code and change it to suit the new interface (most of the colour changes is done in the CSS file wsepg.css in the 'http\css' folder with some colours changed (for the hover items) in the actually XSL file). Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do any changes at the moment.

Just a note for users of DNTV Scheduler Pro.

The EPG mod will stuff up the interface of the front page. To resolve this, go into the 'default' folder in your DNTV Scheduler Pro theme folder. Navigate to the xsl folder and copy the status.xsl file to the colours theme's XSL directory.

From memory, never. None of the sets at work have them.

OK, i have the card working and the EPG inside of the LIVE software only sad.gif. Can watch SD, HD errors and exits the program, as does timeshifting.

TS playback worls nicely via VLC smile.gif

I'm glad to hear that you got it working.

Unlike you, I am still having problems with getting it work (after making sure that the latest drivers are installed and resitting the DNTV Live! full-height card). Attached is the error that DNTV Live! is throwing up when I try and do a scan.

Drivers seem to be installed ok.

I have the same card and have got DNTV Live! and Webscheduler to see it. I am sure that I even got it working fine in RC1. In the final version though, the 'Tuner 2 DVBT Scan Control Interface' (as DNTV Live! calls it), can not be found. (note though that as I have a DNTV Live! Pro as well, the original card has to be tuner 2)

Quicktime doesn't come with an MPEG2 decoder out of the box, neither does Quicktime Pro.

To play MPEG 2's in Quicktime, go to http://www.apple.com/au/quicktime/mpeg2/ and follow the links to buy & download the decoder.\

Saying that though, I am not sure how it goes with Digital TV type MPEG 2 streams.

The original DNTV Live! card works in Vista RC1's Media Centre.

I'm not in Vista ATM, but when I get a chance to switch and muck around in Vista, I will try and get a screen capture of the drivers that are there.
