Will take a look.

Thanks, I think it's something specific to my machine as today I tested on another Windows 10 machine and it reads the config.xml file fine on that one . Of course this one doesn't have a tuner!

Hi,

Not sure if this thread is still being monitored, but in case it is....

I've just upgraded my HTPC to Windows 10 and suddenly this script has stopped working.

All I get in the log is
QUOTE
11:45:52 AM Loading Config file.. config.xml
11:45:52 AM Failed to load Config file..config.xml No Top Level Element
11:45:52 AM SafeXMLTV Completed in..0 seconds, Errors..1, Warnings..0
11:45:52 AM Warning Count..0
11:45:52 AM Summary Count..1
11:45:52 AM Log Count..1

The config.xml file is still in the same folder as the script and it is still the same as it have been for the last year or two! (I've opened it and it looks fine)

Deleting the config.xml gives the same error.

Any thought or suggestions please?

Thanks
Richard

Thanks, missed that option for startup. Wsnlt looking in TV options I guess. That works.

Now I just need to work out how to change stations without a mouse, the only way seems to be to right-click and go into DVB and then select the station.

Is there not a HTPC based menu that just uses the arrows or keystrokes? WHen I select DAB from the HTPC main menu DAB starts playing but no option to change station seems available.

Cheers

I have recently purchased and installed the DigitalNow Quad tuner and TV is working fine in my HTPC using JRiver Media Center and I can play DAB+ using DNTVLive.

The issue I have is that I'd like to be able to easily load DNTV and go straight to DAB playback and then change stations all from my remote control (no mouse).

1) Is there a command line switch to force DNTV to go straight into DAB mode?
2) Is there was way of browsing or changing DAB stations using a remote (or hotkeys)?

Thanks
Richard

Thanks for the detailed response Rat.

The following code does work.

CODE
<title.*>(.*) \(Includes.*\).*<(?i)::
$1<;;
<title.*>(.*) - New<(?i)::
$1<

So it seems the
parts in your code needs to be removed for it to work wihth this script.

Cheers

Rat

It doesn't look like the above worked I'm afraid.

I still have entries in the EPG like;

Britannia Hospital (1982) (Includes SNEAK PEEK - HOUSE HUSBANDS at 2:02 AM)

I tried your code;
CODE
<title.*>(.*)\(Includes.*\)
(?i)::
$1
;;
<title.*>(.*)- New
(?i)::
$1

and also what I now have in the config.xml as that matched the other lines already in there.

CODE
<title.*>(.*) \(Includes.*\)
(?i)::
$1<
<title.*>(.*) - New
(?i)::
$1<

Neither have worked.

I have attached my config.xml in case I've done something wrong in there.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Richard

Well spotted Rat, but that wasn't in fact the issue but it did make me look closer at the sources section, which I had just copied from my previous config file.

There is a new option in the source settings for "Tries" that I didn't have previosuly, so I needed to add a 1:: or 0:: after the timout value on each line.

Missed that the other 5 times I checked the config file!

Many thanks
Richard

I've been using these great scrips for a LONG time but need some help excluding items from the EPG as my regex skills are basically nil!

My PVR software has a rule to record "House Husbands" but it's also picking up things like "The Farmer Wants A Wife - Love Bites (Includes SNEAK PEEK - HOUSE HUSBANDS)" --> ARGGHHHHH!!

So can somebody please help me with the syntax to remove the "(Includes .......)" or maybe even "( ...... )" from the titles in the EPG?

I also need to remove "- New" from titles as these seem to be cropping up a bit now and I don't want them in the title.

And finally in the config.xml, the lines in the original file has;
<prereplace>

Do I need to remove the <! to uncomment this, or is what's there correct as it is?

Many thanks
Richard

I received this today from ICETV (not that I use them), saying that ABC HD has gone and is being replcaed my ABC NEWS 24.

ABC News 24 is coming soon

The ABC are rumoured to be set to launch their new 24 hour news channel, 'ABC News 24', in a matter of days.

In preparation for this new and exciting channel, the ABC have been making noticeable moves over the past few days to the structure of their current channel line-up and we want to ensure all IceTV members are well prepared.

ABC News 24 will be the first and only dedicated channel for breaking news and current affairs to be available an Australian digital free-to-air television (aka 'freeview').

The new channel has officially replaced ABC HD and will be made available on channel 24 across all regions. Channel 20 ('ABC HD'), has also been removed.

As the above changes may cause problems to your TV Recorder setup at home, we want to make sure you have all the information you need in preparation for the launch.

To find out more about what will be on ABC News 24, please go to http://news.icetv.com.au/news/?p=1959.

To ensure you get access to the new channel when it becomes available and that you're equipped to handle the changes made to ABC's channel line-up, we recommend that you perform a 'channel rescan' on your TV Recorder at home, as soon as possible.

If you are not seeing the channel or have additional questions you should contact ABC in your capital city.

Sorry for the delayed response.

The hdtvpump one gives the same issue, while the mediaportal one won't register on my Win7 x64 box so I can't use that.

Looks like I might just have to go back to recording to DVR-MS files instead.

Cheers

Thanks for the responses nate/bear.

I'll take a look at graphedit, but I suspect bear is correct. I'll ask the developers if they can add IMediaSeeking, but if they can't is there another option for a source filter for Transport Stream files?

Thanks

Hi Folks,

I have a problem watching .TS (muxed) files recorded with TV Scheduler Pro.

I use J.River Media Center V15 and have the foloowing filters aggigned;
Haali Media Splitter
AC3Filter
FFDShow Video
Reclock

The files play fine until I pause, then when I restart playback after 15 seconds (and it's 15 seconds every time) I get a breakup of the video for a split second and then the audio/video are out of sync. Seeking forward/backwards solves it but it still very annoying.

I have also tested playback with Windows Media player with the same result (but I donlt know what filters it's using).

So I thought I'd try the TSFilesource filter instead, and after sorting out an audio dropout issue by using hte Audio Clock the pause/stutter issue seem to be fixed when playing back with JRiver Media Center.

BUT I now find I can't seek at all! It just doesn't happen for some reason, the OSD comes up and tris to jump forward 30 seconds but then just returns to where it was.

So can anybody suggest how to fix seeking using TSFilesource, or maybe how to fix the pause/stutter issue with Haali?

Many thanks
Richard

Hi everybody,

I am attaching a new Sydney location setup.

I'm now running Win7 x64 so EPGScan no longer works for me, so I have included a DVBGuide setup for Sydney as well. (DVBGuide works just like EPGScan, but it works on Win7 x64)

A few notes:

1) You will need to enable DVBGuide in the CONFIG.XML file by changing the following lines:

QUOTE
epgscan\\abc::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
epgscan\\nine::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
epgscan\\sbs::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
epgscan\\seven::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
epgscan\\ten::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC

to

QUOTE
DVBGuide\\abc::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
DVBGuide\\nine::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
DVBGuide\\sbs::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
DVBGuide\\seven::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC;;
DVBGuide\\ten::300::+All::SubTitle::Full::+0000::NC

2) I have changed most of the channel names to align better with the names Calvi uses, so you will need to remap your channels in whatever software you are loading the generated guide into.

3) So I could attach the file here, I had to exclude a number of the .exe and .dll files, you should already have these, so just use this zip file to update the existing folders you have.

4) You will need to put your USERNAME and PASSWORD in the appropriate config files in the tvguide.org folder if you are using the TVGuide.org source.

5) If you are running Win7 X64 the "Program Files" folder is now called "Program Files (x86)" so if you installed TV Scheduler Pro and/or these scripts into Program Files (x86) you will need to change your xmltv.bat and update.bat to reflect the new folder name.
eg;
QUOTE
Set tvsch2="C:\Program Files (x86)\TV Scheduler Pro\data\MatchList.xml"

If Exist %tvsch2% xcopy %tvschd% "C:\Program Files (x86)\XMLTV\" /Y

Hope this helps somebody out there smile.gif

I'm about to move my main HTPC that also downloads my EPGs to Windows7

Is EPGScan working with Windows7 or have people started using DVBGuide or alternative?

For what region/city?

Have you considered the multisource downloader scripts/system by Calvi?

Hey Calvi,

I'm finding the tvguide.org data for the commercial channels a bit unreliable here at times and it seems to always get loaded in preference to other sources.

Is the order in the config file the order of preference or is there another way I setup the config so that the EPGScans are always the default sources and the others are only used to fill any gaps or if EPGScan fails?

Cheers

Glad its sorted, I have added your changes into a new version 8.4.

Also updated abcjcgrabber to deal with ABC's website now having programmes out of order??????

For anybody wanting to use version 8.4 in Sydney, please note the included Sydney config files are NOT the latest.

Please download the config files from my post (#260) on the previous page and use those.

Folks - FYI

Nine has released a new channel that starts broadcasting this Sunday called GO!

They have also changed the ID numbers for the existing channels from what I can see, or at least they have in Sydney!

Folks,

Nine has released a new channel that starts broadcasting this Sunday called GO!

http://www.nine.com.au/article.aspx?id=833222

They have also changed the ID numbers for the existing channels so epgscan will have stopped working for channel Nine!

I'll have updated Syndey config files for this new channel. For those already using this config only Tvguide.org and epgscan\nine have changed.

Note: You should also rescan the channel Nine channels to get the new IDs and GO!

Calvi,

Here are the Sydney config files for the recent changes (SBS Two, One Digital, One HD) and tested with Version 8.2

I have included a text file in the sydney folder giving the channel names my settings will generate to save any confusion as they differ from what you are using in Melbourne.

Richard

EDIT: Your SBS Two URL for SBSGrabber is not working and is acutllay picking up SBS One data. I've taken a look and the URL is Case sensitive and also is not regional.

So the correct URL for the config.xml is
CODE

I have updated my Sydney config files for this fix. (See later post for latest version of config files as GO! has now been added)
