Hi Nate,

I've broken this into a fresh topic for clarity.

About Vista changing to Basic Colour Scheme when DW is run:

QUOTE (nate @ Jan 16 2008, 07:29 AM) *
This happens because DW uses the overlay mixer, and Vista doesn't support the overlay mixer in Aero mode.
[snip]
That's why I've started work on DW3.

Would it be possible for DW3 to restore Vista back to Aero when it is quit please? Currently when I quit DW the mode stays in Basic.

Unless Vista SP1 will support overlay mixing in Aero?

DW3 doesn't make it switch out of Aero because it's all rendered using Direct3D.

I doubt any version of vista will support overlay mixing in Aero. It's a limitation of the video card.
However, when I quit DW2 it automatically returns to Aero mode. I assumed that's what would happen for everyone.

Sometimes the GUI is returned to Aero, but usually not. I'm not sure at this stage why the difference.
