do you get any error messages?
I just tested that guide with DVB Webscheduler Pro, and it worked fine, so I would presume DNTV Scheduler Pro would work too. Can anyone else with DNTV Live / Scheduler Pro confirm? |

You may have better results posting in the DNTV forums.
On a side note, I noticed ABC2 was stuffed for your region. Will be fixed in tomorrows guide. |

I hope it is not a dumb question but how can I produce xml files from the guides (I downloaded Melbourne) which I can use on something like Toppy Tools to produce TGD files to download to Topfield PVR. The download produces an aggregate listing ? If you are still having problems you can use EpgToPvrs program to directly (it will download unzip and convert) produce Topfield tgd files http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=44982. |

Nice work guys.
If anyone wants to host ABC or SBS or Ten website guides I can provide a .net (windows and under mono on linux etc) program to generate such guides. PM me and I will clean it up to produce all states. Here is ABC-VIC for instance.

There is a problem with the Adelaide versions of these guides for the ABC when using JustEPG on a Toppy as is outlined in this post: http://www.topfield-australia.com.au/phpbb...pic.php?t=10595
What is the best way around this as it only started happening in the last day or so. -------------------- |

What is the best way around this as it only started happening in the last day or so. Hmm, I'm not sure. Ultimately the problem is with the converter, as they are legal sub-titles. It would be easy enough to strip them out, but some people may find them useful. How major are the problems it's causing, and how likely is the converter to be fixed? |

Thanks to two fellow forum members donating webspace, I have been able to start producing xmltv guides for all regions based on the Oztivo tv guide.
They are available at http://xmltv.locost7.info/and http://guides.byremote.com.au/ The aim of these guides is to ensure there continues to be a free, easy to use xmltv guide solution for Australia. It is NOT to provide the highest quality guides - if you want that then you should have a look at IceTV. The guides rely on the data provided by Oztivo . There will be a variable number of days available, usually from 3-7 depending on the day of the week. Channel 7HD is included in capital city guides. At the moment, it only includes programs that differ from the main 7 channel. This may change, but is something I am still working on. Any problems, suggestions etc. should be directed to this thread. The data policy on the Oztivo website pretty much sums up my policy for this guide, so I am 'borrowing' it for here. Thanks to Oztivo, for their guide data, Peter and Peter for the free webspace, and all who helped test the guides. |

Oztivo Tv Guide
Just an enquiry and not a criticism. Does anyboby know when it is likely to be updated. Currently shows full details for 9/11/07 and only ABC and SBS for the 10/11/07 and 11/11/07. It started off with about 4 days but doesn't seem to have been updated the last few days. Thanks Gussy |

The data on OzTivo tends to get updated around Friday or so for the next week (we are dependent on those that volunteer their time to enter the info on the site).

Yep, typically Friday's guide will be the least filled of the week. Saturday's should have a full 7 days.
There is now 2 new files being uploaded alongside the guides. http://xmltv.locost7.info/lastupdate.txt http://guides.byremote.com.au/lastupdate.txt contains the date that the guides were last updated (figures eh?) http://guides.byremote.com.au/fill.html http://xmltv.locost7.info/fill.html contains a report on how much data was available when the guides were updated. If you suspect there is a problem with the guide, you can check these to get a better idea of whats going on. |

Hi,
The EPG is great and works a treat for Southern NSW, so thanks heaps for all the hard work. Is there any chance that 7HD could be included in Regional guides as I notice it is stated that it is only included in Capital Cities guides right now. I can receive 7HD down here (well I get Prime HD which I am guessing is the same thing) but it isn't included in the downloaded guide data. Or maybe there is another reason why it is not included. I am using DNTV Scheduler Pro and have to manually set up recording if I want to get something off 7HD, and that is only if it is also on the normal Prime channel. Again, thanks for all the hard work, really appreciated. Regards Mark |

Hi,
Thanks to everyone for producing new guides - they are great. I have one small query which I hope you can help. I noticed in another post that dates in the sub category field of the TGD info could cause problems. My EPG listings for ABC (Melbourne) only include one or two items at the end of the day. I also noticed that the listings for some days include one or two entries for ABC for subsequent days. I tried edited out these items from listings in the TGD files but this seems to result in no EPG information being displayed (I use JustEPG) when I update to Toppy. I am quite happy to edit the listings as for all other channels they appear ok but I wonder if someone could advise as to the correct procedure. Gussy |
