Anyone set this up?
If not, can anyone tell me how to stop HIP from using its default keyboard assignments.. I get how to program it to specific keys but if the keys are already assigned by default (which they are) they clash with the new assignments.

Basically I don't want the remote to do anything unless I've assigned a key to it.

Thanks.
Ic.

As far as I know you may be the first to use iTunes and so if you send me a list of the key assignments, I will add it to the installation.

I take it you are using the VisionPlus remote? As this uses the keyboard interface, it is difficult to disable keys unless you define an action against every key in every application. If you want Hip to do nothing, insert a wait state on the key by inserting the following text in the action {*1}

While I was writing this, I have just realised that in the current version the Wait State buttons on the Keyboard Editor were not working (that will be fixed in the next hour or so).

Yeah.. what kenneth said.. although I'd be happy just to have:

Play/Pause (SPACE)
Next Track (CTRL+Left Arrow)
Previous Track (CTRL+Right Arrow)
Vol Up (CTRL+Up Arrow)
Vol Down (CTRL+Down Arrow)

And yeah I'm using the VisionPlus remote

hey all, i've been using itunes now with HIP for a few weeks and its OK. I programmed:

tab - tab between "source" window and songs window (ie to move from playlisty /party shuffle etc into the main window

Full screen to minimize

Rewind and Forward to cursor up and down

vol for vol (not itunes vol, but HIP master vol)

CH+ and CH- for play next previous

play for play/pause

preview to set the visualization off ( and stop to go back to main window)

cancel to close

mute to mute

i don't really understand the problem you are talking about. it just worked for me. except volume and close.

cheers
matt
