Thanks for the detailed response Rat.

The following code does work.

CODE
<title.*>(.*) \(Includes.*\).*<(?i)::<title>$1<;;
<title.*>(.*) - New<(?i)::<title>$1<

So it seems the </title> parts in your code needs to be removed for it to work wihth this script.

Cheers
Richard

I see you have allowed for characters after the \) on the first line. I didn't sorry. I usually put in the </title> as a safety measure as I have encountered some badly structured files before now.
also remember the order of the commands does matter.
have fun.

Hi,

Not sure if this thread is still being monitored, but in case it is....

I've just upgraded my HTPC to Windows 10 and suddenly this script has stopped working.

All I get in the log is
QUOTE
11:45:52 AM Loading Config file.. config.xml
11:45:52 AM Failed to load Config file..config.xml No Top Level Element
11:45:52 AM SafeXMLTV Completed in..0 seconds, Errors..1, Warnings..0
11:45:52 AM Warning Count..0
11:45:52 AM Summary Count..1
11:45:52 AM Log Count..1

The config.xml file is still in the same folder as the script and it is still the same as it have been for the last year or two! (I've opened it and it looks fine)

Deleting the config.xml gives the same error.

Any thought or suggestions please?

Thanks
Richard

Thanks, I think it's something specific to my machine as today I tested on another Windows 10 machine and it reads the config.xml file fine on that one . Of course this one doesn't have a tuner!

Yep,

tested on my Windows 10 M/C all working fine.

No top level element impies an xml parsing error, try opening it with internet explorer and make sure it opens as an xml file properly.
If not then the OS has a xml parsing issue.

There are also xml checking sites on the internet eg...
http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_validator.asp
http://www.xmlvalidation.com/
http://www.validome.org/xml/

Paste the file in and make sure the xml is ok.

Hello. Where can i download the latest version from ?

IceTV has folded, so I would be very pleased to find a reliable (compatible) EPG source for TV Scheduler Pro.

edit:
I downloaded the latest version but it does not have an adelaide folder under folder "location" and I'm not sure whether to create one and then which subfolders to copy into it from say melbourne ...

edit:
I did copy subfolders then looked in the files and noticed things seem well out of date sad.gif
eg channelmap.xml had "ABC HD" which no longer exists.

Hi, I updated the first post and put my latest version up.

You are correct copy melbourne and change settings as you require.

ABC HD is still valid in that I left the names the same but it maps to ABC24, i.e.

Channel Map
<ABCHD>
<name>ABC HD</name>
<source>ABC HD</source>
<offset>+0000</offset>
</ABCHD>

But the ABC Downloadeder is set to...
<sources>
abc1-7day-guide.htm:ABC1;
abc2-7day-guide.htm:ABC2;
abc3-7day-guide.htm:ABC3;
abcnews24-7day-guide.htm:ABC HD
</sources>

This prevents me having to change TVSP, and SafeXMLTV every time FTA stations change their channel names which I was getting sick and tired of.
Only the downloader needs to output to the name ABC HD.

You can change as many names as you wish to get them to match up.

For adelaide the abcjc, epgscan, and tvguide.org downloaders should all work fine.
icetv is still working also (For now?)

For melbourne you can use my generated guide also, but it is generated via the above items anyway.

If you need any other help please ask, there is no reason you should not be able to get adelaide up and running.

JC.

Version 11.1 Uploaded

http://mail.lewis.com.au/public/xmltv/SafeXMLTV.7z

11.1 (xmltv.vbs only)
*Added file exists checking when writing to log files.

11.0 (xmltv.vbs & config.xml)
*Fixed a number of bugs in regex code & made all regex case insensitive as case checking was not working properly anyway.
*Also fixed errors in config.xml regex patterns.
*Added proper xml error code returns, useful for troubleshooting sources.

Thank you very much indeed !

edit: just wondering, the .7z content still says version 10.9 in various files and the date-modified is not recent ...

Hello. I got some of it to nearly work with Adelaide.

This link is a .zip file of my full configuration (note: TV Scheduler Pro in a customer install folder)
http://1drv.ms/1PkX8bl

It appears to download the XMLs OK (they should be in the individual download folders), however when it tries to aggregate them into one master xml file,
- it loses a lot (eg all of today's) even though they're in the "source" xml files in the download folders
- a TVSP load of that aggregated file, anyway, tells me some funny things (note the earliest and latest entry date)

Any advice on what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Onedrive will not let me download, copy or do anything with the file.
Can you try zip or .7z instead of zipx or post it somewhere else?

Either that or put it into a folder and share that instead. I think folders can be downloaded (zipx, exes etc cannot).

OK, sorry about that.

A folder is here
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=8133645b94a9...AKTsD0N-3wR4zR8

or the zip here
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=81336...hint=file%2czip

I must have borked something in my config (the changes to the vbs 0.2 are insubstantial, I made a start at debugging).

for example this
QUOTE
<programme start="20151010012000 +1030" stop="20151010023000 +1030" channel="7mate">
<title>Locked Up Abroad</title>
<desc>The 1978 film Midnight Express told the story of 23-year-old college student Billy Hayes - his life, imprisonment due to drug smuggling and escape from a prison in Istanbul, Turkey. But because of legal reasons, neither the film nor the book, authored by Hayes, were completely accurate. Now, Billy tells the real story of being sent to the infamous Turkish Saomalcylar prison.</desc>
</programme>

gets turned into this which seems to be days "out"
