DV Scheduler ans Analogue TV Options

Hello,

I'm new to video capturing and I'm informing myself what the possibilities are... I haven't bought a TV tuner card yet.

I started by looking for good software, and DV Scheduler seems to be the right tool, but I have this question: Can DV Scheduler tune into analogue TV channels and schedule programs on different channels. I know DV Scheduler can select analogue TV, but can it tune to different channels?

I'm planning on buying a Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick, but I want to be sure that I can shedule programs on analogue stations.

Can someone confirm this?

There's currently limited support for analogue TV in DV Scheduler and you have to do some manual configurations for these. For analogue TV DV Scheduler uses VLC as the capture engine, so if the card works with VLC it should be fine.

I've only tried analogue with an old TV card, don't know what the chipset is, but it worked fine (I could specify the channel with VLC with the correct setting). Please see the files in "utilOther" of the DV Scheduler directory for more info.

I found that out recently... I'm new to this and I wouldn't know how to do this. Is there a good guide somewhere I can follow to configure DV Scheduler? (since de wiki is down)

Can you point me in the right direction?

There's a brief guide in "utilOther\TV Capture.ini" in the directory where DV Scheduler was installed. Hopefully it's self explanatory but let me know if any part is confusing ...
