QUOTE (rikster @ Jan 4 2017, 09:39 PM) *
I was a bit sceptical that this card would work with DNTV Scheduler pro, but everything appears to work - apart from actual recording. Any ideas?

The DNTV Scheduler Pro is not currently configured to support that card. If you have a licenced key for DNTV Live, activate the key in DNTV Live, then reinstall Scheduler again.

Nate is the software developer, suspect that his server is down, hence no working link.

You could send him a PM to ask for the latest version. The only copy I have is of the previous version 2.0.0.7.

This is the first time I have installed it in Windows 10 64bit.

The apps are compiled as 32bit only and will be installed as such by Windows.
Your DTV device drivers will need to be installed as 64bit but this should happen automatically anyway. In my experience the DNTV Quad card drivers work ok for 64bit environments. (at least under Win7)

QUOTE
I had it installed in Windows 8.1 before and just upgraded to Windows 10 without doing a clean install, worked perfectly then.

Similar to my own experience, at least for a month after the upgrade. After that Windows 10 upgrades just killed the whole experience.
Startup apps stop working. I had to set my sound scheme to windows default to stop apps from crashing.
I had to remove MS "Edge" and go back to IE11, re-setting my compatibility settings after each weekly windows update.
I have to unplug the power from the PC for 5min every week to get my DTV devices to work correctly after a windows 10 forced update.
I no longer have permissions on folders I've work with previously and my Graphics card video frame rate has dropped to 15fps.
Apart from that, Windows 10 tells me what I can and cannot do. We get on very well now. :blink:NOT.

A full setup guide is available on the digitalnow website

There is also a how to guide built into Scheduler. Look at the top of the settings page: HOW TO.

http://localhost:8088/settings.html#

If you can provide more info like the scheduler log folder then this may of value. Zip the folder and send to Digital Now support.

Hi Peter,

The scheduler program will decide which tuners it will use based on the priority. The page you showed previously is for setting a manual recording schedule.

You should be able to schedule a program you want to record from the EPG page. Click on "Home", click on "Show EPG" click on the program you want to record.
You will then see a green cross below the EPG program list for adding the schedule.

For Info: To watch the 9HD channel in DNTVLive, you can also use the DNTVLive Audio decoder rather than the AC3Filter audio decoder.

Click "Home", click "Setup", click on "Select Devices" to see if it is in the list "Currently Selected DVB-T Devices" if not then check if in the "Devices Available But Not Selected" list and select it.
If not visible then click on "ReScan Devices" to see if it is recognised. The priority of which tuner is used can be changed using the arrow icons. Have a read of the "HowTo" page if not already read.

Kool, 9HD is using H264/AC3, 7 Racing is using H264/AAC so will take a little longer to implement.

I don't have audio value in DNTVLive when channel scanning ch78 so it's not going to give any audio. The video is decoded ok using an old AzureWave H264 decoder. CLSID {7F65F370-1A3D-4175-B2EC-EA640421A78F}
The supported only display decoders are for the media format used so the ones your seeing in the list are for mpeg 2 formats.

You need the Twinhan h264 decoder for video, audio mpg4 audio is not picked up in DNTVLive scan, not sure why.

The two apps should be able to work with MPEG4 transmissions but as we have none in Australia to decode yet we will have to wait and see. The only problem I can see will be the H264 video decoders needed and what audio compression format will be used.

Peter,
Do you know of any plans to update DNTV Scheduler for VAST

To be fair, your question needs to be asked of DNTV Support. The software is owned by DNTV and it's their call as to what it will support. At a guess they would need to have a VAST/CAM capable device as a product before development and testing could begin.
While the DNTVSchedulerPro software is propriety, it is made available as an add on when bundled with a DNTV supported device or with the DNTVLive software as a package.

Hi Peter,

Because you posted in the Webscheduler forum, I made the statement based on this software. DNTVSchedulerPro is a product branch that was developed by DNTV to support DVBS devices using Irdeto encrypted satellite transponders previously used in Australia. The product was also designed and tested to take advantage of the Multi CAM units available at that time. Please note that it has not yet been updated to support VAST Satellite devices.

Dan.

If you use iexplorer zoom level control you can change the number of channels in view. Just be sure to refresh the web page to get the epg page to update with the new size.

BTW, you can also move the mouse cursor over a channel name and use the scroll wheel to move the channels up or down in the display area. You can also move the mouse cursor into the programs area and scroll the programs forward or backwards, left and right inside the display.
If you don't have a scroll wheel then you can click and drag the mouse to move the display content.

The decryption occurs in the CAM (module) where it is fed the transport stream and it decrypts the required packets, then passes the modified stream onto the capture device. If the CAM is multi channel then you can decrypt multiple programs in the stream, if not then you can only decrypt one program at a time. The software sets up the required packet id's to be decoded. Hence why you can only record the non-encrypted programs like ABC & the help channels with scheduler as it does not support CAMs.

Are you connecting the matching tuner to capture filter?
Have you tried submiting a tune request on the Network Provider before connecting the tuner/capture filters?

The DNTV Live EPG will not auto update, you will need to watch the channel for a little while or force an update using the right click menu, EPG update.
If scheduler pro is missing the EPG data then check that you have recurring daily schedules to collect the EPG or use the epg update links on the EPG page.

Well you do not get any more graph run failures but you do get "Failed to get IEnumTuneRequests" which suggests that the Microsoft BDA Model is not working.
I notice you have a dual boot capability, have you been able to run scheduler successfully on the alternate OS?
Just trying to eliminate any permissions issues with Win7 or XP-sp3 compatibility issues.

There has been a similar issue in the past that maybe of help:

The two log files say different things as the cause of the error

"Cannot run graph 8007001f" which means "A device attached to the system is not functioning (0x8007001F)"

The other log says
Signal Strength : 5
Failed to get IEnumTuneRequests
RunGraph failed with : 0x8007001f which means the same as above.

The device drivers could be the cause, have you checked that you have installed the correct ones?

Also when scheduler scans channels it will always default to the first selected DTV device in scheduler device list.
If mediacentre service is also running in the background it will take hold the first device it finds and if this device is the same as the one you have in scheduler as the first preferred device then you will get a failure.
Try changing the order of your selected devices in the scheduler device list and then rescan using the different device.

Looking at the StreamProducer log files, the graph building process is working fine, the FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner1 has a lock on the channel ok and the filtergraph runs without error. The tuner/capture device is just not passing on any transport stream data.
This could be a device driver mix up issue or maybe a buss power issue, try a reinstall of the device driver or update to the latest drivers.
It could also be a device compatibility issue where you need to install drivers in a sequence.
Also try doing a power down exercise by removing power to the PC for a few minutes so the devices can get a cold restart.
