Looks good Nate,

on a slightly unrelated topic do you (or Bear) have any plans to update tsfilesource to support 9HD (mpeg4 & aac)?

LAVFilter works but does not handle during a live recording like tsfilesource does, however tsfilesource does not connect the audio correctly (at least in my limited testing).

Sorry I missed your last post,

I am using the resurrected ICE which is now a monthly payment and still a good source of data.

tvguide.org(oztivo) is still ok, just not for SBS so I have disabled SBS only for now in my guide.

as well as my abcjs scraper for ABC and EPGScan which as you say is quite spartan.

There are no other good alternatives out there that I know of but the above keep me happy for now.

Thanks. Looks like all sbs channels are affected now.

Maybe excluding oztivo for now is recommended.

Yep, would be wise.

I am not sure, I tried with config.guidedog set to...
<xmltvlocation="Oztivo" Username="" Password=""> OR even
<xmltvlocation="oztivo" Username="ENTER USERNAME HERE" Password="ENTER PASSWORD HERE">

and it worked fine, (as is without any changes at all).

have you changed anything?

Missed this one due to double post.

In theory I think it should work. I am assuming the TS will capture the same and encapsulate AVC/h264 video instead of mpeg2.
The demuxer used will need to be able to handle the streams correctly to play it though.
I also would assume that dvrms will not work for mpeg4 content.

As to whether it WILL actually work though I have no idea. Will have to wait and see.

Hi Ray,

1. I use TVSP to do my recordings and TVSP will flag an item as a repeat if the previously-shown tag is present for an item in the guide data. Y and N are not valid, the element should contain the date when previously shown but just the presence or non presence of the tag defines if it is a repeat or not.
I have my TVSP set to store xml files for all captures (built in functionality) and SafeXMLTV parses this folder and generates a repeatlist.txt file to determine if I have recorded this programme before. If I have then <previously-shown></previously-shown> is inserted into the guide. This way I automatically exclude from auto-adds items I have recorded before (Same Title and Subtitle).

Note: SafeXMLTV also sets the <previously-shown></previously-shown> tag if the programme has appeared already within the xml file it is creating.

2. Only if it is already in the original source. This exists in the Ice guide, and the EPG transmissions for Channel 31 and Ten only. You also need to remove the default
CODE
<prereplace>

[\x00-\x08\x0b\x0c\x0e-\x1f\x7f-\xa0]::;;
<title.*>.*movie.?: ?(.*)?<::
$1<;;
<title.*>(.*) ?\(new.*\).*<::
$1<;;
<title.*>(.*) - series premiere<::
$1<

</prereplace>

which removes the Movie tag (as well as new, series premiere etc) as I don't personally like these.

I am not sure how it would be feasible to programmatically determine if an item is a movie as the length is not enough of a clue as many items are as long as movies but not movies.

Glad to hear it,

happy to add Adelaide into distro when you have it ready. Might add some TZ checking also.

Cheers,

No, I mean you have +930 in...

CODE
<timezone>+930</timezone>
<tzoffset>+0100</tzoffset>

It should be...
CODE
<timezone>+0930</timezone>
<tzoffset>+0100</tzoffset>

Otherwise is sees it as +9300 (I should add a check for <-12 or >12).

The default config is...
CODE
<timezone>auto</timezone>
<tzoffset>+0000</tzoffset>

which I have used for years with no issues.

Also tested on Win 10 Fine.

Will look properly later but I suspect +930 should be +0930
PS I run in auto with no issues.

Onedrive will not let me download, copy or do anything with the file.
Can you try zip or .7z instead of zipx or post it somewhere else?

Either that or put it into a folder and share that instead. I think folders can be downloaded (zipx, exes etc cannot).

Version 11.1 Uploaded

http://mail.lewis.com.au/public/xmltv/SafeXMLTV.7z

11.1 (xmltv.vbs only)
*Added file exists checking when writing to log files.

11.0 (xmltv.vbs & config.xml)
*Fixed a number of bugs in regex code & made all regex case insensitive as case checking was not working properly anyway.
*Also fixed errors in config.xml regex patterns.
*Added proper xml error code returns, useful for troubleshooting sources.

Hi, I updated the first post and put my latest version up.

You are correct copy melbourne and change settings as you require.

ABC HD is still valid in that I left the names the same but it maps to ABC24, i.e.

Channel Map
<ABCHD>

ABC HD
<offset>+0000</offset>
</ABCHD>

But the ABC Downloadeder is set to...
<sources>
abc1-7day-guide.htm:ABC1;
abc2-7day-guide.htm:ABC2;
abc3-7day-guide.htm:ABC3;
abcnews24-7day-guide.htm:ABC HD
</sources>

This prevents me having to change TVSP, and SafeXMLTV every time FTA stations change their channel names which I was getting sick and tired of.
Only the downloader needs to output to the name ABC HD.

You can change as many names as you wish to get them to match up.

For adelaide the abcjc, epgscan, and tvguide.org downloaders should all work fine.
icetv is still working also (For now?)

For melbourne you can use my generated guide also, but it is generated via the above items anyway.

If you need any other help please ask, there is no reason you should not be able to get adelaide up and running.

JC.

Yep,

tested on my Windows 10 M/C all working fine.

No top level element impies an xml parsing error, try opening it with internet explorer and make sure it opens as an xml file properly.
If not then the OS has a xml parsing issue.

There are also xml checking sites on the internet eg...
http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_validator.asp
http://www.xmlvalidation.com/
http://www.validome.org/xml/

Paste the file in and make sure the xml is ok.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/tvschedulerpro/

I will also add some capability to use a local instance of Java in the near future.

TO DIY just....

1. Install Java Latest.
2. Install TVSP from above.
3. Stop TVSP Service.
4. Copy the java runtime to TVSP\jre
5. Edit the wrapper.conf file line from:
CODE
wrapper.java.command=java
to:
CODE
wrapper.java.command=jre\bin\java

6. Restart the service

Unistall Java (forever smile.gif )

Ok, that would explain it.

What do most people do for an EPG these days?

I thought a while back TV Scheduler Pro JC used to just import the on air data. I haven't the EPG working for a couple of years now. It would be handy to get it going again if it isn't too much trouble.

Thanks for your on going development of this project.

From me you can....

1. Just point TVSP to the combined guide hosted at: http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showtopic=8605 OR
2. Build your own using my Multiple Source Xmltv Downloader., SafeXMLTV http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showtopic=6598

Otherwise you can...
3. Buy ICETV OR
4. USE ScanBDA OR
5. Many other alternatives.

JC.

I only update the frequencies when "http://www.acma.gov.au/~/media/Licence Issue and Allocation/Information/zip file/Broadcast Transmitter Excel zip.zip" is updated.

I automated it, otherwise the job would be impossible to manage, and I see they have of course changed the link so will upload a new version soon. (Unzip the attached one into the data folder for now).

The no device available error is generic, it does not mean there are no devices installed. It means there are no devices that can service that request.

The sourceforge forum is cumbersome but there have been times that this forum has disappeared in the past so it provides a backup option for people to contact me.
