I am still a young man but some times I wish it were the old days again, when we as a DVB community were so information starved that any news was good news
Now I am seeing this more and more, "Dont post this" , "Dont post that", "This is breaching this rule", "That is breaking some other rule", what the hell have we become, I feel like I am participating in some sort of State controlled virtual reality, well perhaps not quite that bad but it is still frustrating. I understand that we need to stop blanket advertising on this forum or do we??? perhaps a forum just for commercial "Specials and pricing" Anyway there are some people that did quite a lot of work to get DVB-T cards into Australia, Renura was one of the mains ones, without his hard work we may not be as far along as we are today with the current DVB-T offerings. So, whats the point of this post, well after reading it back just now, it is rather pointless, this is probably a sign that I have been here to long and need to move on. Move along, Move along, nothing to see here, move along... |

Hmmm... I got a Fusion Plus last week for $209 from citysoftware, but I don't know what the difference is between that and standard. I kind of wanted the standard because it has an LG tuner instead of the thompson one, which I believe makes it mores supported in some older software...
Other than that, I don't know what the difference is. They weren't selling the standard ones. I have a video input and an RF in and OUT on the back, and a little cable to connect to my sound card (i guess) and a half-height PCI bracket if i need it. Cyrus |

Got the Standard DVB-T at a store on Latrobe St Melbourne (near Hungry Jacks on the corner of Swanston) for $205... bit more expensive than Renura (sorry!) but I didn't want to wait for postage. I can't even remember the name of the shop but they were pretty helpful and there was no pressure whatsoever.

Why not try Digital Now, the price is $199.00 including freight, and the added bonus is you get the support when you need it. Thats gotta be worth more that $10.00. It maybe the best $10.00 you've spent in a long time............

It does include shipping and it includes the DNTV Live software, and if you can find it cheaper somewhere else they will match the price, although I am not sure where you would find the DNTV Live sofware though. |

Hi Guys,
I keep getting e-mails from people asking about the DVICO Full version cards (T1). Unfortunately DVICO decided no to make these cards any more, so we can't get them. But an equivalent (hardware wise) card is the DNTV Live, which uses the same reference board and demodulator/chipset, the only difference is that the DNTV Live! has RF Pass through and the Samsung tuner. If you require the DVICO cards, the available models are the FusionHDTV Plus and the Fusion HDTV Lite. I hope this clarifies things. Without wanting to confuse matters (further), I note that DigitalNow don't seem to have the Fusion HDTV Plus cards - just DNTV and the Fusion HDTV Lite. Is this the reality? |

There are still some DVico HDTV DVB-T (T1) cards around. Dick Smith Powerhouse have some and you can check on the net and ring for availability.
Trouble is they're $247. Officeworks with "techworks" departments also have some but you can't find them on their website and have to ring for availabilty, their price is much better at $199. I bought one for a friend yesterday at their Artarmon store, 2 or 3 left and they also have plus cards for the same price. |
