Hi, Ive created my own jukebox using Visual basic and it uses its own keyboard keys to control the volume of DirectShow which i use keyboard keys '+' and '-' to do. Ive mapped the Volume Up and Volume Down keys on my remote to send a '+' and '-' to my application which works brilliantly. My problem is that as well as lowing the volume of the jukebox (DirectShow), im also finding out that the main system volume has been lowered aswell. This is causing the volume on my jukebox to go out of step with the system volume and vice versa, so sometimes i can be at full volume in my app but the system volume is effectively muted.
Has anyone any idea how i can get HIP to not touch the system volume or map the Vol up and Vol down on my remote so it doesnt touch the system volume??

Thanks for any help its driving me nuts!
