Perhaps have an option for the muxer or not. I only ever capture SD as i don't have a cray super computer to FFDShow HD playback smile.gif

I've implemented recording for BDA. It relies on the Cyblerlink MPEG Muxer (mpgmux.ax) so you have to have it registered for it to work. See this thread if you don't have it.
The link to mpgmux.ax in the above thread is dead but I've asked the Captain if he could fix the same.
Just have to wait and see, but like Champion_R says it would be good if could get away without using it if there is another way?

Don't worry everyone. I am planning to implement other methods of recording, but this way was the easiest so i did it first just to have something that works for SD.

As for the cyberlink muxer, if you can afford a 60Mb download then you can get if from in the XPERT DVB-T PCI Application

Nate,

Using the audiodecoder.ini file and channels.ini files ive used for sometime i get a blank screen on ALL networks when i have the AC3 audio as an option. Is the cyberlink muxer in use even when viewing? (if so i guess this is the reason). No biggy, will let you know if stablity has improved.

Im guessing that when divco releases their new software this month with .mpg output they will have had to developer a muxer capable of AC3 and HD that can perhaps be used by WS and DW, and inturn DW/WS support for BDA Divico would be lovely smile.gif

Yep. I decided to add the muxer to the graph when a channel first starts because i didn't want to have to stop and start the graph everytime someone started or stopped recording.
If adding the muxer doesn't work then it should just store the error message and then show it when you try to start recording. I didn't think it would have an effect on live viewing at all though.

Link Removed - possible infringement of copyright.
Renura

Fair enough - After e-mails from and to Renura the file has been removed.

The file isnt all that excellent anyway - its a temp. method of recording SD.

Im sure in the future a better method will be developed that doesnt need a 3rd party muxer of a freeware alternative will be found.

The plan at this stage is to provide the same recording options as in WebScheduler, plus i'm looking into writing my own muxer. Not sure how realistic this is, but a big advantage would be that if it doesn't work properly then at least i can debug it and change it so it does.

Nate.

Any reason why with BDA DW i don't get any 1080i picture (get audio)?

Using the same videodecoder.ini file as the SDK version with HD video working.

Cyberlink video codec.

I havn't done any testing of HD, but I can't think of any reason why the BDA version wouldn't work when the VP version does. I create the pins the same way.
When you say that it's not working, what do you mean? Is the graph not building?

The graph is building (i guess)

The channel starts, audio works, just blank video. If "ok" through the active filters i hit the video render and the cyberlink codec, so it is weird.

I also hit the CL muxer options, beats me smile.gif. I don't watch HD anyways much.

I know HD works perfectly with the first BDA DW build. I'd say that muxer is to blame for breaking HD.

I think the problem is not HD video, but AC3 audio, and is related to (de)muxing.

I've run into a problem where I don't get video on SD channels if I've selected a channel (as defined in my channels.ini) where the audio is AC3. If I change to a channel where the audio is MPEG, the video appears.

Given that most HD channels only have AC3 audio - no video. I do get video on seven's "HD" channel.

It's official. The problem is caused when you have an AC3 stream. The cyberlink mux filter won't accept it. I added some code last night to remove the mux filter if it couldn't connect up properly and now channels with AC3 work fine again, but obviously you can't record.

I'll add in the ability to capture the full TS and a TS Mux like in WS and release a new version on the weekend sometime.

Hi,

I have a small problem. Spectrum's BDA drivers works in GraphEdit but not in DW. The graph built starts with an MPEG2 Demultiplexer with no pins, then a BDA MPEG2 Demultiplexer only mapped for pin 1, then finally the Network Provider dialog. No decoder filters nor renderer filters. The channels.ini should be ok (Sweden, Boxer)

e.g.
Network_1("SVT", 522000, 8, 1)
Program_1("SVT1", 0, 1019, 1018, 0)

Tried all different audio and video decoder settings (incl. Automatic) with no success. Is it possible to get a log file?

Can anybody help?

/Daniel
