I've done what I think is a standard install and it seems that while watching TV with timeshifting on, you cant skip back or forwards (after pausing for enough time for the buffer).
Im using the keys for skip forwards/backwards in VLC with it in full-screen mode.
Is this normal?

Time shifting does not work remotely as VLC does not support it.

Maybe timeshifting is the wrong terminology - but you can pause tv, and go forwards and backwards with the use of the slider (not full screen mode)- so I was hoping that VLC could be persuaded to skip forward or backwards from a keypress.

BTW when watching a file in fullscreen through DVS, skip forward/backwards (VLC key commands) works for *.mpg files but not for *.ts files. Perhaps this is a VLC limitation.

Thanks
John
