Yes and no. The ATi cards with ViVo and AIW have the ATi Rage Theater Video Codec which does gives a nicer video than a standard card but you would have to weigh up the costs of buying it as it is about the same price as a Radeon 9800pro. If you've already got it then yeah its an ok card, if your looking at getting one you're much better off with a 9800pro.

My opinion skip it unless you want a second tuner in this case the ATi cards one which is a analogue tuner.

No - I will be buying 2nd Hand or ebay....
approx $100 for the 9600 DVI out and possibly $130 for the AIWonder.

So If I have two fusions and an AIW - then would I have 3 telecasts and would this be manageable with DNT or Showshifter or something?

Or - is it all too hard and just Keep it Simple Stupid.

$130 for a 9600AIW is very very cheap. Do make sure its a PAL version other wise ya cant use it here. Also you positive it is a AIW and not a ViVO card?

In theory as long as DNT or showshifter detect the AIW (they can be a prick of a card at times) you shouldnt have any issues. But i wouldnt know i only ever used my old AIW with VDub and the ATi MMC.
